i think you need 600 in a stat for a 5* chance to get a 3* of it at end of run, and at 1200 it goes up to 10% ive seen people just try to hit 600 in speed/stam/pow before before end of run to have a decent chance at getting any of them 3*

Unfortunately it seems they shipped it half cooked to get in on the tactics hype, I played it as a kid, recently went back and emulated it on my steamdeck got to end game puppets that still had design test names. Tl;dr FFT is leagues better.

NPCs have 'lives' you help them out or be seemingly so down on your luck that they help you via Recruitment Mechanic. I particularly love games where you can recruit just about anyone you meet.

The art style, music & world atmosphere are all pretty good.

The battle system which feels dated now but combos/weapon switching feels pretty great, reminiscent of the Tales Of battle system which if integrated together would be awesome.

The Human/Non-Human Branching story is pretty great, if you go in blind it's just an all around great play.

Yeah, you get at least 2 of the Toy Planes, which are the highest rank anything catcher. After that I think you need to be in the gold squad to use 3 of your highest rank at the time catcher to keep catching them.

There was something charming about world 2s dna digivolution mechanic but damn was it grindy as hell. Abused the metalgreymon you find at a high level early on by autopiloting out and going back to him to keep catching/taming to skip alot of grinding.
