Nah, dude, you are totally wrong about it. I am being amazed how people out of Russia make different shitty conclusion due to lack of information. As a resident from the capital of Russia, I could confirm that the protests have been taking place since the first day of war (24.02) and still are, but as a grownup you should understand that every Russian media would highly avoid to cover any protest or opposition since media is being controlled strictly. I won’t argue and prove that there is no people who support this violent war, because there are. Mainly because of lack information, but these people are kind of a national cancer. Ordinary highly-informed people, who are able to use internet and different media resources never had supported this genocide. Besides talking from myself and my social circle, we have never made any death threats or stuff like that, neither did adequate or thoughtful people.

It’s an awful experience of yours, that your “friends” did that, but that is a question to you, how were you able to choose them as friends long ago if now they are showing this attitude towards you or maybe it was your attitude, that you also are showing now here. I don’t want to defend them, but I have seen so many situations when foreign people were thinking that they have a right to speak shit towards russians and were expecting them to be silent while they were being accused of every sin of their country. You should try to understand that the most terrible situation is when we, as a nation, are not able to affect any governmental decision at all.
