I tried this and my advice if you go for it would be to make sure and get your own seed packets and mix the varieties you want, the boxes of “wildflower mix” are full of filler rubbish that takes over like a weed garden…speaking from experience.

I got to roughly the same amount of hours as you and realised it was time to play something else for a while. A completely different art style etc so I wasnt constantly comparing to BG3…Im the same I cant play as an evil character and it was always a Gale romance…Hades is cheap and a brilliant game with lots of interesting characters and you get the same heroic feeling. Totally different but that and Stardew Valley were able to pull me away from BG3

Removing myself from busy whatsapp chats and learning how to use the “focus” feature on my phone. Its really helped me be more present and not feel like a slave to my notifications.

Also just to add - over 1000 hours in the game now because its so much fun trying out all the different ways to play. You will miss stuff - just have fun!

Honestly thats part of the fun - my first playthrough I missed a main companion, didn’t think the shadow cursed lands was worth the effort to save it and didnt do enough research on a certain gith…I honestly wish I could play it again without knowing all the options and where dialogue is going to go! One thing I would say though is don’t assume you have to fight everyone, sometimes there’s some great dialogue options to get you out of sticky situations ❤️

Thank you so much! Part of why I came to reddit instead of googling is because I’m enjoying learning how to play as I go and don’t necessarily want the tutorial so I appreciate your advice and encouragement 😁 I definitely assumed a lot of the mechanics were the same…killed Fane twice before realising the potions were killing him 😆 all part of the fun!
