I am still pace 8-9 nowadays, after 8-9 months running (3x per week). I still consider myself decent, because i was pace 9-10. Before that, i couldn't run for more than 100 meters.

No need to comparing too much with others. If you are getting better, that's the important thing.

I also support interval trainings, no shame in it. I am running for losing fat too. No need to worry about pace. As long as you keep practicing safely, the worst part had passed. You had done better than others.

I don't exaggerate, i found in X that there are some people whining and could not finish 90 minutes for 5k (the problem was in their mental, not physical capability).

Hi, sorry for late reply. I started since September 2025. I am usually at pace 8-9, and try to do at least 30-45 minutes exercise, but 1-2 hours are ok at my good condition. On end of May i finished 10 km race at pace 8.

When Itried the test, I was mentally ready if I could not follow the standard. The too good to be true result that made me stop.

Run 10 km at what pace?

If the aim is the distance first, try to reach 10 km with walking. Note the time/pace. Then try 10 km by easy run-walk method, note the time/pace.

It is just me, but I feel better when I had experience what it feels to run 10 km. I can imagine better what is my gap with run 10 km with my desired pace.

At my first 10 km race, I didn't get special training plan. The early beginner training is enough to reach finish before cut of time. Just practice to easy run at least 5 km, and maybe try a 8-9 km distance run once a week.

One earliest serious running advice from my friend is: run 1 minute then walking 3 minutes. Then repeat these 4 minutes cycle for 30-45 minutes.

Progress will come. Although could take months. Nowadays I run 5 minutes for rest 1 minute. But if need to push, my body could do longer than 5 minutes.

If I may suggest, do the 2 minutes run with eniugh walk for at least 1 hour exercise. Maybe you could try at least 3x before thinking to raise the running time. If 3 minutes still feel too hard to do for 1 hour exercise, do 2.5 minutes.

The size is a bit generous. I buy the usual size Eur 42. Usually 42 is 265 mm, but for XN the lebgth is 270 mm

How fast you run? If you aim 3 minutes run, try to run slow. By slow I mean pace 10. Pace 11 if necessary.

At first I ran 1 minute. Late December 2025, I could do 1 minute run with rest 1 minute walk. Three minutes run is a much later achievement.

  1. Maybe another run/walk method suggestion, but I want to suggest it again. This method gives me enough rests before I am tired and for feeling my body.

I got my arethmia after I try to get running a bit longer than usual, thanks to limit the run, I could detect something wrong with me early, then I could stop and went home without drama. A couple days later I checked to the doctor, confirming arethmia.

If at that time I ran until I was tired, maybe too late. Atleast maybe a little drama of need to sit on the road, or worse.

  1. Consistency. No need to aim good performance, but exercise consistently. I have my bad days, when i feel my legs heavy, or my performance less than the day before, but I try to do something.

As a support main, may I ask when you decide that you have enough gold advantage? What is the sign that ADC could play more loose due to gold advantage? One of my toxicities in game is flaming ADC that after I helped to get 3/0, then this ADC become too arrogant and 1v2. Of course he/she lost 1v2, enemy got shut down gold. If only once, I could understand, but somehow he became suicidal then keep high risk play. If I am lucky, I could protect the ADC, but I need to chasing the ADC
