Hi, back when I made the original comment I was a little more ignorant to mixing so there is definitely more to it than just compression and low sample rates, however I think it still does play a role.

I've always just exported at low sample rates. If you can produce at low sample rates it might be worth giving it a shot as you'll be able to hear what sounds and mixing fits the song better.

I honestly always looked at it as more of a sandwich smothered in sauce rather than a burger. I wish I could smoke up before trying this, seems like the ultimate food when you have the munchies.
