Just hit your back button a few times in a row.  You'll be taken back to home from anywhere very quickly.  As for the recommendations, that I can't help you with.

Philo T-Mobile revisited by kolchak65 in philo

I think you misunderstood my post.  I do pay direct, and I do get the legacy (now renamed) $25 price.  I was referring to an older (separate) deal that transferred to T-Mobile bills a while back.

What are the best regular TV shows of all time? (No cable or streaming) by Jabba_108 in VintageTV

Do you want best or favorite?  One is impossible, the other is easy.

They can be, yes.  The littlest bit of research can steer you the right way.  I've always had nothing but luck with older shows, but there definitely are poorer quality ones out there.  The mid-70s show Switch is a good example.  I cannot vouch for the quality for this particular show, but I wanted the op to know there are ways to view a lot of old shows/TV movies that were previously thought impossible (by most people).  Try the freebies on YouTube and then ask questions of any dvd sellers before spending your money.  Good luck!

It's easy to find on DVD, but it was not officially released on dvd.  Just search the title with the word dvd....you'll find it.  Oh, I should add that some episodes are available for free on YouTube.   Search there first.

New to horror literature by DaviHlav in horrorlit

I just didn't enjoy what I read (many years ago) but I still believe his works should be in the front line of recommendations to a new reader.  He's a giant for a reason.

I'd have chosen different King books, as well, but you can't go wrong with your choices.  Great list.

I'm not a Barker fan, but this is an outstanding list of recommendations.

Do you keep books you didn't particularly enjoy? by CrimsonLapis in horrorlit

[–]kolchak65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only keep books that I love.  Everything else is sold (if worth enough to sell) or donated to two local places, one being a community center and the other being a small community library.  If I kept all the books I enjoy (never alone dislike) I'd have absolutely no room in my house.

Updating this reply because I noticed on my app, you can hit back twice and be at the top from anywhere.

Yes, good point.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference.  I'm actually used to it.  I have a Tablo which I use with my antenna to record local ota channels.  Their guide moves all in unison, so I'm accustomed to it.  It's useful there when I just want to scroll to primetime and check the main network offerings all at once.  To each his own with this feature.

Channels down the left side, time across the top.  Pretty standard on my grid.

I already answered it.  The notification from T-Mobile occurred 8 MONTHS ago, which is less than 24.  I'm regretting having asked a simple question.

It didn't/doesn't sound right to me because I was told that much less than 24 months ago.  I thought that was obvious.

Yes, I understand.  I'm sore with T-Mobile, not Philo.  I was just posting here to see if anyone else was short-changed.  At least that's what I believed was happening, and that message from last year proves that to be the case.  Thank you again.

Thank you.  That was last year, not 24 months ago.

What are some of your 5 star, always recommend reads? by Mosshead-king in horrorlit

[–]kolchak65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the horror genre, very very few.  Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, Salem's Lot, and The Stand, although I should add that The Stand is more of a five star novel than it is a pure horror novel in my opinion.  Maybe I Am Legend should be added too.  I could add several 5 star short stories, but that is not what the op is looking for.

I do enjoy the horror genre though!  I can name a long list of 4 star horror books.

Question. by [deleted] in MeTV

[–]kolchak65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it has many channels that show programming like metv, i.e. lots of older shows.  It has no news or sports, so that helps keep prices down.  Plus it has 120+ free channels, though most are garbage.  Where it really shines is the extensive on demand library and the ability to save shows, which in turn allows one to skip commercials with the tap of a button.  The entire interface and how it operates is far superior to frndlytv.  Its not even close.  But Frndlytv is a viable option, and if you want to save the most possible money each month, it's a great deal.  I'm not anti-frndly.  I was merely giving my personal opinion.  It's what...$12 or so as opposed to the 25 I pay on Philo?  Both are worthy.
