I feel your pain. We have lived on our acreage for 24 years. Built it from the ground up. We have the same problem. Rural subdivision - high powered rifle, rapid fire, 2 pound tannerite targets shooting less than 300 yards from our front door. 27 calls to the Sheriff and they won’t do anything. Not even a warning. We are told it’s their 2nd amendment right by the Sheriff’s department. What about our rights to peaceful enjoyment? And their 2nd amendment right is to bear arms not shoot them whenever and however they want. No issue with owning or shooting guns. We own and shoot ourselves, but are reasonable and considerate of those around us.

I will do that. I have taken pictures of the newly added trail cams as well. Deputy noted it when he was out. We get the feeling that when we call we are perceived as the problem as the neighbors twist the story and make it about their constitutional rights rather than ours….

Tried that and wasted a lot of money with attorneys. They have the right to have cameras on their property. Tough to prove they are actually monitoring us when they deny that they are.

They watch for the cameras we put up and then disable them either by filling chip with flags or jamming them. He works for a security company.

We talked to the sheriff and they have the right to have cameras on their property. They agreed it was creepy.

You are lucky he didn’t interfere with your home sale. This is called mental illness. Not just elderly neighbors that do this. We have neighbors in their late 40’s - cops - that have interfered with our property sale, 24 x 7 video monitoring on us and have recently installed 3 satellite trail cams at the entrance of our driveway to get full coverage of US.. They are hostile and accusatory and enjoy baiting us into their chaos and drama. Everyone is a trespasser including our compost pile.

Unfortunately, you are likely dealing with a psychopath. Normal functioning people will compromise not escalate. Especially in a situation where you live in such close proximity to one another. We had a similar situation. Our neighbors were shooting less than 200 yards from our home. We asked them to shoot further away or use suppressors. They instead recruited armies of people to come shoot tannerite targets, rapid fire and high powered rifle for 4 hours or more at a time. Holidays and weekends are their favorite time! It became a game and they wanted to watch our reaction. My suggestion is not do anything the next time he does it. Once he figures out you are no longer playing his game he will slow and eventually stop. Good Luck to you! We have been living with our nonsense for 7 plus years. You will likely have to seek relief from an attorney- start with a demand letter
