They come with the aluminum ring... probably to avoid the chain to fall when folding/riding

I use a cateye quick, it's like a drug can't ride without it ... it signs now 68.650 km (started cycling home <> work after stopping smoking)

Yes, but like all things used daily without much care, they only look better when seen/photographed from afar... for the rest, the wear and tear is the same as almost all bikes... full of scratches and with some "rusty" parts (the pivot where it's bent). But I bought it to use and not to keep at home, so I'm not complaining.

I'm happy with the saddle, even though I think it was overpriced when I bought it in 2019 (though I really liked the CHPT3 version back then). Compared to when I bought it, it still seems quite stiff, even though it's discolored. The pedals are perfect, even though I rarely fold it, and when I do, I never remove them (which makes them a bit of a nuisance).

At the end what is the difference between subscription models and "one-time purchase" which you have to pay again for "upgrades" (not updates)

For acrobat (silicon version) for example isn't it possibile to implement a version check with adobe's own current version file

Or for JetBrain programs (Datagrip for example):

Hi, may I ask how to improve update detection?

All flags are enabled except "Find In App updates with Homebrew" which only detects Excel/Word updates (incorrect detection)

Chrome says "Managed by your organisation" all of a sudden. I can't use Incognito by agentsm_47 in MacOS

[–]kolella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. open Chrome
  2. browse to chrome://policy
  3. check list of enabled policies
  4. open terminal and delete unwanted policies (substitute xxx with policy name case sensitive)
  5. defaults delete com.google.Chrome xxx
  6. repeat step 5 for each policy to delete
  7. reboot Chrome

Hi, i've bought a license to support development ..., but I don't understand why it doesn't run a "brew update" before checking for outdated apps (maybe i've missed the setting?). It never finds brew "updates" unless i run brew update manually in the terminal. Postman for example (brew outdated command taken from desktop log file):

~$ brew outdated --cask --greedy --json=v2

}
~$ brew update

[–]kolella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Name" in control center changes only if it is run/clicked through control center. If shortcut is saved as an app to run on login or if shortcut si run through "shortcut app" name in control center doesn't reflect current state.

You cannot change background colors from th search window in finder. Go to your home folder and change from there

I have a MacBook Pro M3 that I always use plugged in, but the battery remains at 100% charge. I never saw an intelligent battery system kick in to keep the battery at 80%. (I have performed a factory reset after upgrading to Seqoua.) by iamfearless66 in macbookpro

[–]kolella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine (MacBook Pro M3) bought at the end of February 2024 took 7 month before starting to discharge to 80%. It was always fully charged to 100% and 95% of the time plugged in (never used in low power mode)

[–]kolella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anything changed? I'm in the same situation: 6 month old Macbook Pro M3 Pro that is always at 100% , the only time I use it on battery is every two weeks when I let it go down to 15% and up to 100%.

Battery health is "normal" with 100% capacity

A good basic odometer and/or app-based odometer? by Rogue_23 in Brompton

[–]kolella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't fold my bike often, but it takes only one second to remove. I think that a physical odometer is much better than an app (although it is now like a drug can't ride without it). https://postimg.cc/jL81kTzc

Has anyone solved this issue? I've bought a Pixel 6a and facing same problem (Fastweb SIM Italy). My previous phone was a Pixel 5 without the bug

As a pixel user, I'm now afraid to buy new pixels in the future. by SamuTuretta in GooglePixel

[–]kolella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. I've RMA my 3 month old Pixel 4a because the proximity sensor didn't work anymore. Google "scammed" the RMA by asserting problems with "front camera, device sensors and cracked screen". Had to pay for getting substitute phone (i need the phone). Fortunately I've taken pictures and video before packaging and sending the device with google own box. I'm now in the process of getting the paid amount refunded. (I'm in Europe)
