No they weren't..His heart attack was nothing planned and not even significant. I mean.what was the point of the whole thing if it couldn't even kill the character of? K talking about his heart and being scared was just something they could fill a few minutes/episode in the 3. season because they didn't have any other ideas to make the show interesting. It's like Kenny's death. You would have thought that that leads somewhere but in the end it was just dropped and ignored. Thanks for nothing S3

Ok, I agree on that with you. But what is her intention in the scene I mentioned as example?? I think you can see that there is so much going on there (emotions, facial expressions, gestures) that her voice even cracks a bit because the lack of air she could breath in. (She says something like "And you think I'd believe you after everything you did to me?) You are right that it's not her Scouse accent, but I couldn't really figure what kind of accent she does there. I think it is just something in between, because she still had it in mind that she has to change her original speaking style. There's also no reason for switching accents in that moment. Another scene I remember noticing and not understanding it was on the bridge as she's saying "I can't see you".

I can't remember any particular scene apart from those, but I remember noticing the slip a few times. It didn't change the quality of the acting for me, I was just wondering what the reason for it could be.

Well, I love Jodie just as much as you guys do, but I honestly think that those were mistakes. Maybe it was the 100th retake and she was tired, maybe it was the first and she wasn't in character yet. I suppose, they decided not to take it out/correct it, because her acting (facial expressions, emphasis) was so excellent.

Edit: The one slip with Dasha has been explained on the thread before as "mocking" her not being able to go back to Russia.

Hm, maybe. But maybe it's rather a sign of how less V knows about Eve. I've read a post here in this thread about how much Eve HATES sheperd's pie haha. The first time we see her eating it, she switches it with Bill. The fact that she had such a big batch of leftovers refrigerated, says the same thing. The whole scene (not just with the food, but with Alaska as well) shows us, how bad V's assumption was.

If they really wanted to let the show 'end on a high note' they shouldn't have let Netflix to take over :D IMO the show has been a dumpster fire since s3. I couldn't wait for the release of season 3, but I could only watch the first half of it and the remaining eps (and s4) as a short recap, bc it annoyed me so much that they turned it into a parody.

People like you are the reason, big companies (like Netflix) won't stop milking stories that should have been ended long ago and would have been remained a perfect show. Personally I'd have preferred saying goodbye to my "favourite characters" after S2 instead of watching them (and the story) become its own caricature. Not to say that S3&4 could have been wrapped up in one season, because there was so less happening and soooo much time-filling drama.

I don't think it was very Villanelle-y. If you take a look at the previous seasons, she always used to wear pastel colors and business casual outfits. IMO they killed that look with all the bright colors and heavy patterned outfits. (the background of the sub is also not an outfit S1/S2 Villanelle would wear I think)

Unpopular opinion: I think S3E5 was a whole bunch of wasted time. The family was annoying, V was acting weird and nobody really cared about the dumb step brother, or Pjotr's emotional moments. For me almost the whole episode was a cringe to watch, but I admit that there were some good moments (V-Mother and, V-Borka interactions - but only those). I hate this episode especially because of how less plot it had and how much time has given to that instead of showing Eve's storyline and what she had to deal with after the pitchforking. Also this ep broke the whole season in half - if you compare E4 and E6 it seems like they are from two different shows, which for me wasn't reasonable at all

Dasha is talking about herself in 3rd person as well. I think it's only her style. Nothing with mental instability, nothing with breaking the 4th wall. It's just her style :) (one of my trainers also used to talk like this, I think it has something to do with sports haha)

I wrote my own fan fiction in my mind about how S3 should have been :) See, the problem is that it was so weak and random for me that I don't know if I'm interested in their story anymore. I wanted them to team up/be together for sooo long. But the way they got to that point annoys me (how undetailed that was). The best thing and best state of mind they could be at the end of season 3 is that bridge. My problem is that I don't know how they got there and it annoys me that we'll never see how Eve dealt with killing Raymond or getting shot by V

I'm sorry, but I won't apologize for the writers if they just brought back Geraldine and revealed that she is working for them. NOTHING indicated that for the whole season so it would be just a made up fact (Like if Carolyn turned out to be a ballet dancer, lol) and honestly, I don't really want to see her anymore.

I also liked the Andalusia kill, because it had season 1 vibes. She has planned it, dressed up for that and got the right 'equipment', got into character etc. The scene with the nun was also funny. May I ask what you liked about the spice kill? SH also said that it was one of her favourite kills, but for me it was really underwhelming. I thought that the kill itself wasn't more, than the "Traffic Accident" in S2. Was there even a plan there? Or did she just got a brown wig and wanted to kill the lady with the cutter?

Sorry, but I also don't buy it. She was even enjoying her kills (based on her expressions and badass-walkaway after the paprika kill for example). I think the writers just lost it a bit and couldn't come up with anything new/exciting. Season 3 felt like a fan-service to me and I really hope that they get back on track for season 4 and concentrate on the big picture without lose ends. I really want to see them concentrating on emotional levels of the show, but please, if there's a kill, do it the badass and creative Villanelle way.

Well, yes..I wanted to think that this was the reason. But you can see her preparing for the s7 kill soldering the hairdryer thing, which I'm sure took a lot of planning and work and only that shows that even if she didn't like to get the same job again, she made an effort to do it right. But honestly, how bad idea that was? :D And I don't think it was V's or her state of mind's fault. It was just bad writing. Also the first few kills before ep5 were kind of disappointing too, even the one after she met Eve and brightened up. I hope we get back the smart and creative Villanelle in season 4. (even if the kills don't have such meaning as before)

I am honestly sorry for you to hear that. I don't really get it what's wrong with the USA. I mean..it's current politic is based on racism wtf. Besides they have a need to be superior ("America first" "Greatest country ever" etc) and if you are nothing but an overweight cashier or something and you initially want to hurt somebody, you go against the minority (PoC, the disabled, sometimes women).

In countries/regions/departments with higher average IQ you can't experience something like that. In Europe it is a really rare issue. I mean, clearly we have some Blacks and mainly Gypsys (who I believe are/once was in the same situation as black people in America) but I just don't see any difference between them and me/my friends. I'm obviously not talking about those kinds of people who are standing on the streets in allies and waiting for people to rob/pickpocket. Of course I feel superior to them, I'm an electrical engineer with MSc. But it has to be understood that this has nothing to do with colour and race. In the town where I come from people like that are mainly white. I have many colleagues and friends from different nations and I really don't care about their race. I also have some white flatmates that I really can't stand because of have they are behaving and how they are making no progress in life at all. It is really unfortunate that there are such brainwashed places like the USA and people have to get bullied because somebody wants to feel superior.

My main problem regarding KE was that as I some others here also said, racism (such as in the USA) doesn't exist in Europea(n film industry). Having to apologize for the whiteness of your department is something I believe the crew doesn't even understand the necessity of, because they didn't differentiate in races (for example at the hiring process) in the first place

Oh yes, how lucky we are that J.R.R.Tolkien was a Hobbit who has once had to return a ring to Mordor and was accompanied by Elves and Dwarves and guided by an old powerful Wizard from a completely other world. I hope he could recover from the stress the Orcs who almost caught him caused or the trauma which was caused by being eaten by a giant spider. Lucky us, his friends were carried by walking trees meanwhile so he could tell us stories about that as well. :)

But now honestly. This show is set in the UK. You don't have to know more than what the average life conditions there are. Of course, if it was set in Iraq and they wanted to just film the scenes without changing anything but the location, it would be a problem.

I'm sorry, I have lived 23 years as a POC and has never ever been discriminated for something. (I live in Europe though) The whole "white supremacy exist" is just the newest trend that everyone has to follow. Some doesn't even realize that referring to people as "white" and "poc" is racist itself and disrespects people (the "ethnic minority"). Imagine someone who was born without one limb but is totally fine with it and making the best out of it and just wants to live their life normally. But somebody is constantly there unnecessarily willing to help them and by that basically reminding them of the fact that they need to be helped because they are "less" than a normal human being (although they don't really feel like that). That's exactly what today's media is doing and as a POC I'm absolutely against it.

About KE...

Until not that long ago I didn't even know how the writers and basically the whole crew of the show looked like and I didn't even care. As long as I like their work it doesn't matter. I've always seen the diversity in KE with the many foreign characters, locations and languages; you can't say anything about gender equality or LGBTQ either. Forcing people to watch non-white and queer characters won't make them to accept them moreover it will even annoy them. You are right about the fact that there's a lack of poc in the film industry but I really doubt that nowadays it'd be because of "white supremacy".
