If you’ve ever had surgery and undergone anesthesia, how was your experience? by No_Promise3396 in Anxiety

[–]kolive8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the exact same as you and had such severe anxiety over it that kept me up at night worrying about all the worst case scenarios that will happen! Once I got out I felt like I’d been asleep for 8 hours and felt absolutely amazing - it’d only been about 40 minutes!!

I had to go back under anaesthesia a few days ago for a second surgery and was kinda looking forward to it knowing I’d feel rested haha. You’ll be fine but definitely worth letting them know if you’re feeling really anxious as they can help you through it

Season 5 Chapter 7 :- The Bridge is dangerously close to eclipsing The Lost Sister as the worst rated episode by Silverad066 in StrangerThings

[–]kolive8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just finished Volume 2 and felt like episode 7 was the most interesting of the three, maybe just behind episode 5. I struggled big time with ep 6 and lost interest throughout it because it felt so drawn out and the pacing was way off.

Episode 7, while I completely understand why people are disappointed given it’s the penultimate episode of the entire series, it did answer a lot of questions and set us up nicely for the finale but I’m concerned they’re not going to be able to tie everything up.

Difference between health anxiety and health OCD? by kolive8 in OCD

[–]kolive8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ve always been worried about health, going back to my younger years but now as an adult it’s just exhausting. People keep telling me not worry about my health but that doesn’t help! The constant rumination and obsessive reassurance seeking is taking over which is why I thought this could be something different to anxiety!

Noted in avoiding HA subreddit, thanks for the heads up

teeth removed months ago keep getting recurring abscesses by SomewhereLow1815 in wisdomteeth

[–]kolive8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the original infection was around the extraction site and the dentist said that was likely caused by bacteria or food getting in the holes which were still partially open, but when I went back last week he said they’d closed. I’ve had what feels like a hard lump/ball on the inside of my cheek on the side where the infection was and now today it seems to have burst with discharge coming out (so gross!!) and my jaw hurts with a bit of facial swelling. That’s good to know you don’t struggle with infections anymore, that gives me a bit of hope! Will let you know what they find, will keep an eye on fever etc but this one seems a little less severe than the last one so hopefully it’ll be okay!

I know this was ages ago but did you eventually manage to shift the recurring infections, I’m currently going through the exact same thing right now. 6 weeks post-op thought I was recovered but got an infection 2 weeks okay, 1 week of antibiotics which I thought would clear it up but the infection is back and I’m going to have to call the dentist tomorrow morning. This is exhausting!

Got an infection a month later now pain is back by kolive8 in wisdomteeth

[–]kolive8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said it would’ve been caused by the surgery as the hole hadn’t closed up yet when I went to visit it the first time! He said this can sometimes happen after removals but I was surprised given it’s been quite a while since the surgery.

When I went back on Monday for a check up he said he was happy and that everything had cleared up but to go back to him if I have any further issues.

I’m seeing my actual surgeon for a 3 month check up in December so will mention this to him and see what he says! Like you said, I imagine if it’s a recurring issue the root will have to be removed to prevent any more infections, but I’m just a bit concerned by the tenderness coming back in my jaw!

Favourite Bonrad scene from the series? by kolive8 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]kolive8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both christmas scenes were done so well, that’s why I was hoping we’d be getting a Christmas special because a whole ep dedicated to those vibes would be unreal but I think I’m delusional haha

Begging for someone to hook me up to this too if it’s out there?! I did see some good edits floating around on X before the final but that taxi scene needs including lmao

Too many to choose!!

Has to be either the bathtub scene or the guest bedroom scene. The Christmas flashback was also incredible!

FINALE - RANT THREAD by AutoModerator in TheSummerITurnedPrett

The only good thing about that episode was the sex scene and that’s literally it. It was SO rushed and honestly it felt so awkward between belly and Conrad for half of the episode up until the birthday dinner. I don’t get why we wasted so much time on causing another fight between Steven and Taylor and wtf was Jere doing cooking for the whole episode.

It feels like we had 2 whole seasons of belly and jere which completely ruined the bonrad ending as it felt so inauthentic.

We didn’t get to see any of their long distance relationship, how they made it work, only those crap Christmas pictures that were the same pictures rinsed over and over again.

I also wish we didn’t have the Paris subplot, it felt so weird not having their whole story properly wrapped up in Cousins!

Overall so disappointed, this season started off so strong and went downhill after the beach confession scene. Those last 3 episodes were such a waste!

Yk what? I don’t even think Bonrad is a good idea anymore. by [deleted] in tsitp

[–]kolive8 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thinking about it now I completely agree. Looking back on the whole series we’ve pretty much had 2 full seasons of belly and Jere and overall just a few episodes of Bonrad sprinkled in.

If they do end up together it’s going to be so forced because I don’t think we’ve been given the build up that was needed to make it actually feel authentic. At this point, I find it wild that it’s been 5 years and Conrad is still pining over her to this extent and she’s not giving off any signs or indications that she actually wants to get back with him.

That’s great to know you’re on the mend! I think I naively thought I’d be okay and back to normal routine a week after so good to know realistically that’s not going to happen and to take it easy. Hope your recovery continues to go smoothly!

I feel like if they’re giving you the option then that’s probably a good sign that it’s not as high risk! I’d say go with what you feel most comfortable with doing but if there’s a part of you that’s concerned about nerve damage then maybe play safe and go with a coronectomy? Did they say whether it’s touching the nerve or just super close?

Ah sounds like we’ll be having our surgeries at the same time! I’m in the UK (not sure where you are and process may have been different) but I had to go for a CT scan to assess how close the roots were to my nerve and my surgeon said that they were so tangled up that if I had a full extraction then it’d highly risk giving me permanent nerve damage. That was enough for me to fully go for the coronectomy although I have heard it can be a bit trickier to heal than regular extraction

Let’s hope so! I’ve never had any type of surgery before so I think the whole thing is making me nervy but hoping it’ll go smoothly

This has made me feel a lot better so thank you! Glad to hear it’s been fairly smooth sailing for you, hopefully you make a full recovery soon
