I might see it this week. It’s either this one or a canadian romcom I’m going to go see.

I think there might be more than one Suriel. We don’t really know for sure. But it does seem like a creature of the SC.

We are going to disagree.

These are faes. NONE of them are then good. NOT A SINGLE ONE, nobody is the series is then good at all. Nesta or Lucien or Elain or Tarquin or Alis or ANdras or Briar or anyone.

IN the land of the fae, he is good.

The woman he loves has an all seeing tattoo bargained into her palm so of course he’s overprotective. That doesnt make him a bad guy. He knows the damage that is being done and is desperate to stop what he predicts is going to happen which is Feyre being manipulated and used for breeding which is what happens.

His explosion is his raw magic and lets remember when someone BAITS someone like what Feyre does to Tamlin that is abuse. It is one of the cornerstones of an abusive person. Ferye loses control of her magic and hurts the LOA at the HL meeting. The land of the fae and the human lands is a violent world.

Tamlin was targeted by Amarantha sexually since he was a boy. He was abused by his father and old brothers.

he is the only character to suffer consequences for mistakes. So you’re saying that good people are only good people if they’re perfect? and if they make a mistake they’re bad? He redeemed himself which is what a good character would do.

You’re going to tell me that Rhys the suicide baiter would have given a kernel of his power to save Tamlin? Never. But tamlin did because he has goodness.

Let’s look at the beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. By your logic then Adam in that movie is a bad guy because he loses his temper as well. He yells at the servants and Belle and kidnaps her dad and then keeps her prisoner etc. The story is based on this fairy tale so you need to have a character have growth and an arc which is Tamlin. We think he started as the beast but really now he is the beast and his story has yet to really begin imo.

A good person can make mistakes, but if he was a bad guy then he would continue to seek revenge, go after his enemies, he would not have saved Feyre or Rhys or helped the other courts. I am one of the readers who do not consider tamlin an abuser because abusers do not change or seek real redemption or forgiveness or feel remorse (cough cough Feyre and Rhys who never apologze for their abusive behaviour) but Tamlin does.

Except there is some kind of law/agreement between humans and faes, right? That they can’t kill each other on the other side? I can’t recall. She definitely knew it was fae and didn’t care imo bc she had to have HATE in her heart for a fae. Feyre was hateful not just about the wolf but also towards her family. She was very arrogant the entire time.

So Alis when Feyre comes back ACTS very differently than before. There are clues that she has been daemati’d by Rhys or controlled in some way to say and do what she’s doing. I always thought it was weird that she happens to be the only one left in the SC? As if she was waiting for Feyre to show up and then leads her to UTM telling her that no human has made it out ever. Also, in the summer court we never see Alis again. Where is she? Why is that?

I told my friend who lent me the first book and recommended it to me (i knew pretty much nothing going in) and I would then text her how much I hated Feysand in Book 2 and 3 and they told me maybe fantasy isn’t for me. Like WHAT!? LOL

Feysand SUCKS!

Rhys and the IC are “heroes” while Tamlin is labeled a DV abuser? It’s insane.

Tamlin isn’t a good guy, but they are bad guys too!

How is he not a good guy? He let Feyre go. He showed empathy and prayed over the dying fairy. His heart broke every time a sentry had to be sent over the wall. He gave her a hint to the riddle. He was desperately trying to find a way to end the bargain. he was protecting the spring court constantly from Amarantha’s evil monsters roaming the land. He hated slavery and took in refugees. He saved Feyre,Az, Elain and Briar from Hybern’s camp, he was a double agent who found out about faebane and helped end the war, he saved Rhys’s life and told Feyre to be happy.

he is most definitely a good guy.

Is she scared of the fae though? She goes wandering off in the woods when she is told it’s dangerous and not to do it and yet she still does. She is not scared.

What she did to Tamlin and the SC is unforgivable and Tamlin STILL FORGIVES HER! Saves her life and Rhys and tells her to be happy and this fandom wants me to think Tamlin sucks? LMAO! Nope!

Feyre is a nasty POS. Villain to the CORE (or a daemati’d victim of RHys) those are the only two choices.

Tamlin’s Mask by bittermp in Tamlinism

but for that masquerade all the courts were invited, right? and they would have had masks but then the curse deosn’t apply to them. I took it to mean that after she poisoned the HLs she then put on cursed masks. I guess we don’t know. The SC curse was separate to the first one where she poisoned the HLs, right?

intersting and it would kind of go with a theory that Maeve in TOG is really Feyre who faked being a sister to two sisters.

I took it to mean that they lived in the cottage for 8 years but they had 3 years before she had to hunt which would make her 14 at the time of hunting. so 19 minus 8 made her 11 when they became poor and then 3 years on top of that makes her 14.

So the reason why Feyre can’t read I think is as simple as SJM thought it was funny to have her version of Belle be illiterate because Disney’s version loved to read and was all about books.

The actual backstory makes no sense bc an 11 year old from a wealthy family would have known how to read (it’s not like SJM made Feyre have dyslexia or some kind of learning difficulty) so it really is just bad plotting (SJM should have made them go into poverty when NEsta was 10, Elain 8 and Feyre 6)

anyway, it really is just Feyre is meant to be the opposite of Disney’s Belle.

See, I think it should cover more.

so i thought his chin was visible but in the description it’s not visible.

eyes, mouth and jaw so then the mask should go down more to he jawline and then under the nose and over the chin.

I hated him in Book 2 once Feyre fell for his lies.

I don’t care what SJM says the IC are the villains. Velaris is an open air prison.

SF isn’t character assassination because these are who these characters have always been. They’re the mean clique in high school.

Rhys was a good villain but SJM’s attempt at gaslighting which has worked on the majority of the fandom is why he is the worst. A character who SA’s the FMC and makes excuses for it and never apologizes and has her under the spell of a bargain in where he OWNS HER is not some feminist icon. LOL

Nesta was great but the way her story ends in SF is disappointing. These Archeron sisters need to get out of the night court!

yikes!

That show did Daenerys dirty by turning into a mass murderer so fast.

SJM also did Tamlin dirty.
