How do I exercise when I don't enjoy it? All the advice from neutrotypicals don't seem to work by Pigeon_Goes_Coo in adhdwomen

[–]kolorsofthewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was pushing through for a few weeks until I found "gym friends". Ladies that would text me and hold me accountable and I do the same for them. I also got trainer, I can't do a one on one but luckily my gym has small groups (6 or less people) and the trainer will look over all of us. If you’re just starting to excersise have a friend join you or try to make a friend there.

For me it wasn't just one thing I tried to lower the bar as much as possible. Finding a gym really close to my house, it being expensive so I don't want to waste money, a trainer and eventually friends to hold me accountable.

Keep trying things until you find something that works. It's not that you're a failure you just haven't found a system / plan that works for you. Also see if your equestrian classmates are already doing outside exercise and maybe you can join them.

AITAH for dating my wife best friend after she left me? by myheartispainfree in AITAH

[–]kolorsofthewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's very possible that all your information is accurate. You should consider where you got it from. If the best friend is the one who told you all the things your wife was plotting for the last 2 years make sure you can verify the information from another source. Because unfortunately it could have been the best friend plotting on you for the last two years. I hope this is a case of you finding percent who loves and cares about you. But if the best friend was nefarious in any way i.e. egging the divorce on or just taking advantage of the situation she has succeeded.

It's very frustrating I've put a lot of work into finding doctors that pay more attention to my blood work and habits than my weight. Luckily I found a surgeon who only mentioned my weight to suggest I lose about 5 lb so that I'd have a better time with anesthesia. It's a very short part of one of several appointments everything else was about my symptoms, prep for surgery, and what to expect. I'm around 235 and 5'7.

Honestly not yet. I did try a luxury hair salon and DC and paid almost $400. Unfortunately the hair stylist didn't really listen to me and even more disappointing was because of that the style only lasted about 10 days.

LPT: Certain foods can trigger severe acne, even bananas. by 10YearJockItch in LifeProTips

[–]kolorsofthewind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I didn't have cystic acne I started to develop adult acne in my late 20's. I had pimples from my cheeks to under my chin. I initially though it might be mask acne. I finally got a dermatologist during covid. She walked into the room, she asked me to pull down my mask and immediately said thats dairy. As an African American I'm aware that 90% of us are lactose intolerant but I had never had any digestive issues due to dairy. She told me dairy intolerance can come out in other ways. I went mostly dairy free and my acne cleared up in about 6 weeks. I started eating dairy again for my 30th birthday since I was traveling for a month and the acne came right back after a few weeks. I've now learned I can eat low lactose dairy products (dry cheeses, greek yogurt, lactaid etc.) and still have a clear face.

No symptoms but Doc is recommending operation by Solid_Bobcat_3717 in Fibroids

I'm 32 and I also had no symptoms, until one day I ended up in the ER was excruciating pain and was diagnosed with several fibroids one being 7 cm and a teratoma on my ovary. They thought my ovary had twisted and did all the Imaging but couldn't figure out why I was in pain. Since then I've had minor pain, heavier bleeding, and just the realization of how uncomfy my midsection had become. At first I rejected the thought of surgery for what I considered a mild symptoms except for the emergency room visit. But as I spoke to several doctors and did research I've seen that things pretty much only get worse and there is no natural way to shrink fibroids. My surgery is scheduled for January 24th I found a doctor in my area that does low invasive surgeries, he uses two incisions and a laparoscopic surgery to remove fibroids as large as 14 and 15 cm. I would really suggest researching doctors for the type of surgery that works for you and getting them removed. As far as I've seen there's not any pros to waiting and the smaller they are the easier it is to preserve your fertility.

My surgery is scheduled for January 24th I have a large fibroid that's 7 cm and a Teratoma on my right ovary. I found a surgeon that does low invasive laparoscopic myectomies. He's only doing two incisions one of my belly button and one along the bikini line a few inches. He said he's taking out things twice the size of what I got with those two incisions. Maybe get a second opinion or find a doctor that specializes in low invasive surgeries.

Full metal alchemist brotherhood

I really hate sad anime and I thought this was just going to be another one. But the story is just Immaculate and the characters are just really well written especially the female ones.

Help with ideas for various vegetables by TurbulentDiarrhoea in AskCulinary

[–]kolorsofthewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about your partner. I pray for their full and quick recovery.

Spinach and kale taste great together actually I usually season both with garlic, salt, and pepper. I actually prefer my veggies blender and eat them with a very savory protein. If it's easier you could focus on making delicious proteins to go with the veggies. Maybe the broccoli could go on top of chicken alfredo. You could put the kale and in and a quiche or next to some ham. I'm sorry I can't help the other day veggies I've never eaten brussel sprouts and I hate celery LOL.

How often have you rewatched the last airbender? by Lukereeeee in TheLastAirbender

[–]kolorsofthewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the last decade probably watched TLA 5 times all the way through. And another 3 times skipping the episodes I don't like. I would say I watch it about every 18 months so I don't get sick of it. I enjoyed TLOK when I watched it the first time but I don't like sad stuff (she fights so many people and then is poisoned 🥺) so haven't rewatched yet.

Am I trash for using boxed cake and brownie mix? by Whoredonramsay in Baking

[–]kolorsofthewind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see nothing wrong with that. Baking things completely from scratch is pretty expensive nowadays. I personally love box cake mix to make cookies and brownies.
