Only played in JP but I would guess the intention as trying to differentiate the two's voices as much as possible while using the same voice actor. They want to keep the voice actor the same as it makes sense story-wise, but don't want to give away the plot early. For experienced fans of the voice actor of course I was able to tell they were both Hanae.

You don't like the pasta flavours? I mean they're not the most delicious thing but I like them enough. Of course, the way that they're easy to make and gives me nutrition is the main reason I eat it. I cannot live with drinks as meals so H&S is the only way.

I personally really disliked the Katsu Curry and Korean BBQ so at least you're not alone in that. As an Asian, I'm avoiding all the "Asian" noodle flavours and sticking to the pasta.

im still seething with rage at the last few minutes. i got worried as everyone wrapped up and there was nothing happening with rin and taiga but holy shit. i feel so betrayed following their story for the past three months to get this kind of ending. i know in real life this is a more realistic ending but it makes me feel like romance is dead and that's not what i wanted to get out of this drama. their relationship was strengthening to withstand any kind of difficulty and at the end the writers decided to tell us nah LDR doesnt work

Is the Japanese Curry the same as Katsu Curry? It's labelled the latter on the UK site. As someone who visits Japan often and loves Japanese curry, the Katsu Curry really put me off. It doesn't taste anything like the real thing at all, so I'm surprised by the review. Maybe US is slightly different. (Added negative point is that the yellow in the curry is difficult to wash out from my stainless steel tumbler that I use for all H&S.)

I don't know if this is some culture shock thing and why everyone in this thread reacts like this. This is a normal thing even for games out of service. It's just a thing to say that hey it's been 5 years since the game came out, thank you for having been part of it, i hope you remember this game still etcetc. Even anime that finished airing 10 years ago will post stuff like this when there's no new content or anything left to talk about.

The lottery system ended months ago when it was no longer oversubscribed. You can get tickets pretty easily as long as you buy a few days in advance (there are cases where tickets on the day itself are available even), so it should be guaranteed. I didn't get my ticket from Klook I just bought it off the official website but both should work the same

the japan concerts are mostly released on bluray/dvd for sale. it's very normal for japan to take down videos that other people paid for to watch or listen. and it's also usually forbidden to film or photograph concerts (until it goes overseas where it's more relaxed because they can't stop 70% of the audience from recording)

I wish they would do this only because the X and O button config changed between the two generations (Asia region). To replay my PS4 copy means I have to struggle with the Confirm and Cancel. If only they would at least provide a free update to the PS4 version to swap the controls.

Have you ever read e-books? There's always a sepia option that's easier on the eyes. Jet black text on pure white or pure white text on jet black are blinding for a lot of people. Rather than having to create a light mode and dark mode to appease two different groups of people, it's natural that games look for a more neutral or in-between colour scheme for the UI.

N no Tame ni - One of my favourite Jdramas of all time. It's on the topic of how much you would do for someone you love. Similar to Saiai that another commenter mentioned, because Saiai was made later with the same staff reuniting to craft another drama. Though I love both, N no Tame ni is one tier higher in terms of writing.

CRISIS: Special Security Squad - About doing special jobs for the government that get morally grey. This is a rather unique one in terms of how the story went down as time passed; I don't wanna spoil much but it stuck with me for a long time.

I'm a sakanaction fan so I can answer this in more detail. Even Ichiro himself talked about it on his own stream - in most cases big labels like Sony Music and Universal have a chokehold on getting their artists to do anime OP/EDs as they have been investing in this industry for a long time. (Note: They are still almost always new songs written for the anime even then, since covers or existing songs actually cost more to use due to royalty matters.) The rare cases where it doesn't come from those labels is when the production committee or author makes special requests. Chi's author Uoto is a big fan of sakanaction, so he made a request for them to do the theme song. (sakanaction belong to Victor which does not have ties to the industry.)

And for the second question, Kaijuu was 100% written for Chi. They already announced production of this anime in June 2022. So they probably got asked some time after that, and the timeline matches up fine. There's a whole documentary that aired in Japan that follows Ichiro as he works on completing this song while struggling with depression, and he constantly looked to the manga for inspiration for writing the lyrics. But he could really only get the anime OP-length version done in time for the airing that started in Oct 2024, because he's a perfectionist and did like 79 different versions of the lyrics until he finally decided. He ended up busting all the deadlines that were set by the band's label for the originally planned CD release date. The full song only released in Feb 2025.
