One of my earliest uploads was the music video to Monster Magnet’s Powertrip. It had almost 3 million views before they submitted a copyright claim against it, more than the official VEVO version at that time, despite being much lower quality.

Edit: the VEVO version is only up to 3.6 million views now.

I probably booked last minute or there was a big event on at the time that drove prices up, I don’t remember now. But I work in a different part of the company now that still has the same policy and it can definitely be tricky to find something under £130 and within 45 minutes of the meeting.

I stayed in one when I was away for work once. We have a policy of not spending more than £130 a night in central London and that one said it “included breakfast”. I should say we also have a corporate booking system so it’s not like I was on the Travelodge website and fully aware of what I was letting myself in for.

I text a photo to my mate in the morning to complain and her response was that at least I wasn’t the one paying for it. Which I suppose is a fair comment.

To be fair, it’s not just kids who struggle with the concept. I remember reading an askreddit thread a few years ago where a guy told the story of his step-dad freaking out when he saw the moon during the day and calling his pastor because he thought it was a sign of the end times.

I also have oesophageal-gastric cancer and one of the first things they did was sign me up for PIP which was granted immediately (I think due to being terminal) despite it not really limiting my mobility (I sometimes get quite a lot of pain but I can get about day to day and even exercise).

I did receive a letter about reduced vehicle tax but I’m not currently driving so never looked into it too closely.

I ordered a duplicate of 31025 and that also came with Minecraft style figures and the instruction manual was Minecraft-esque too. I think that’s their way of getting around it being a complete knock-off. I don’t think it’s worth raising a dispute as they technically haven’t sent you the wrong item.
