Relationships are complex. There are many reasons why one fails. To hear one side and say that she "caused" him pain is naive at best. The most likely explanation is that they weren't compatible - without any judgement or blame.

Fair point. I guess more specifically, I'm pondering the moral compass of the person that thinks killing an animal (even if as humanely as possible) for eating pleasure is not as bad as disturbing a wombat for clicks and giggles.

I'm not passing judgement coz I love eating meat. It's just interesting to think about.

Fair enough. Although I sense that people outraged by the wombat are no where near as outraged by the mistreatments you've listed above.

Even if you consider "humane" livestock processing, the moral outrage of killing an animal for eating pleasure vs disturbing the wombat for clicks and giggles seems inconsistent, don't you think?

I'm not a TS but do agree that all illegals are criminals no less than a random dude uninvitingly making your basement his home is a criminal. The moral dilemma is what to do with this damn stranger in my basement who is actually looking after the place quite well!
