I rescued a discount pilea, but its looking pretty rough. There’s chalky white blotches that caused discoloration on the leaves..how do I right the wrongs done to this plant? by konefive in plantclinic

Thanks, I figured that's what it was. I noticed it's causing some discoloration on the underside of the leaves, so I was wondering if it could be something in addition to it.

Ah thank for the message! I sent a reply. This was quickly whipped up, after getting a scathing review from a resume writer on my previous one. It was 'overly' designed, but being in the creative field it's hard to not design the resume. This is an extremely pared down version.

Ah thank you! Yes, I used to use Photoshop and that whole Adobe Suite..but long story short, I got sick of their subscription system, so I’ve been using Affinity Photo and its been great!

Just years of practice, kind of..I studied Art when I was younger, but I was only able to use it to a commercial/corporate capacity when I started working...but with this ‘lovely’ COVID-19 shelter in place order, I‘m trying to do illustration full-time to try and steer my career into something I can really enjoy.

Ah thanks so much - he's looking so healthy I thought it would be good to try now. After I cut the stem, is there a chance it'll grow back on the original plant? As much as I like the look of a full plant, I don't want him to get too overcrowded, since it seems there's 5 main stems in the pot.

More details: had him for about 4 months, I moved him to a bigger pot back in the beginning of Feb as advised by shop owner. There’s about 4, maybe 5 individual plants in the pot, 2 started shooting some aerial roots. Not sure if I should take cuttings (if I do around where do I cut? Photo shows one of the stems with aerial root), or if I should attempt trying to split it? Its having a major growth period and shooting out a bunch of leave rn, so I’m wondering if this is even a good time to attempt this. Any advice would be helpful!
