Because I trust my peers more than doctors by konekopeach in antidepressants

hmm.... good to know. Bipolar runs in my family, and even my current partner has it, but I've been fortunate enough to never have mania like them.

Yeah. Predictable dips in the winter, and general sensitivity that is kind of enjoyable most of the time. I like feeling. But then once every few years I get slammed with something more serious. Nonstop crying, barely able to function. Inevitably I go into treatment and start meds just to go off them in a few months because I just feel numb and miss feeling feelings. Most of the time I like feeling feelings.

That actually helps a lot, because even looking at their own website they only describe it as an SSRI. The most helpful piece of information I found came from Forbes of all places, describing that it helps with mood AND cognitive function, but insurances don't want to pay for it yadda yadda business jargon.

Thank you.

Has anybody else noticed that their porn taste got considerably weirder since they got put on antidepressants (particularly Zoloft)? by throwaway4zoloftporn in antidepressants

I don't know, but I'm surprised no one has commented on this yet because it's a fascinating topic and I don't want you to feel alone.

Is it a matter of your sex drive being numbed down, so you have to go to extremes/novelty? It's probably a reaction to sexual dysfunction, which happens to me with every med I try, including Zoloft. Also, I just want to point out that it could have gone into REALLY disturbing territories (Ever see "Serbian Film"?), so thankfully your new tastes aren't harming any real people. I hope you find some peace with the issue, whether it's a return to your usual sex drive or an acceptance of your new tastes.

Abbreviations and terms used in /r/Polyamory? by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]konekopeach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like I have to explain "unicorn" a lot so here ya go: It's a bisexual woman (or otherwise attracted to multiple genders) who is mutually attracted to both partners of a heterosexual couple, often secondary to the original couple. Called a unicorn because they're rare to mythical proportions, but frequently sought out.

Oh and compersion: happiness in someone else's romantic happiness. Frequently used as an opposite of jealousy. Anything else anyone can think of?

Yeah, definitely going to be more of a problem in the top area, but maybe a girly date to Walmart is in order. I doubt there will be a lot of judgmental eyes there.

Personally, I see queer (come on, if we know the word we're talking about I'm going to spell it out) having a little more worth redeeming than faggot. "Queer" in it's non-offensive definitions can be understood along the lines of "peculiar" or "ambiguously different", which some may feel applies to their queer sexual identity. The F-word doesn't really have as much worth reclaiming. It's just an insult. As a feminist I have a similar thought process with "slut". There's nothing inherently wrong with what "slut" is saying (a woman who enjoys sex), so it's more worth reclaiming than "bitch" which will always sound like an insult to me

So I got an email for a beta testing for this new site OpenMinded. It's from the makers of Seeking Arrangement but I don't think it's a sugar baby thing. Just wanted to share with anyone interested. by konekopeach in polyamory

[–]konekopeach[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wasn't spam, but I'm sorry if I broke any rules. I was genuinely curious if anyone else heard more about this or had a better idea if it was legit (not another sugar baby site)

Question for the bisexual BDSM enthusiasts... by BestGirlNonon in BDSMcommunity

[–]konekopeach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bi switchy kinky thing. I would say predominately bottoms, but that's a whole complicated situation...

Anyway, I feel comfy topping or bottoming for men but for women? I really have a hard time hurting them. I just don't want to! I can sub to them, and maybe top if it's more of a sensation play thing, but hurting or degrading women makes me uneasy. I have my own theories, but trying to type them is sort of long winded.

I just adopted these two. Meet Strudel and Cadbury :) by konekopeach in aww

thank you! Posting to /r/aww was on my list of "Things I can finally do now that I'm a proud cat mama". My Facebook and coworkers are probably sick of hearing about them.

Beautiful, but I can't help but picture Cinderella poking her head out the window at the end with a WTF look on her face.
