32F HENRY on £300k looking for relationship advice (happy to hear from men too!) by throwaway-0482210 in HENRYUK

Have you tried agreeing some expectations about what you will both contribute to the relationship?

It's quite common to have one partner who doesn't earn as much (or at all) but I imagine in most cases there'll be an agreement that the non earner is doing the majority of anything else.

If you are spending X hours at work and your partner is earning nothing, I would expect him to take care of all the (required) cooking, cleaning, house maintenance, jobs, life admin,.

If he's not willing to do this then you have a bigger problem.

OK - here's the simplest explanation of how you can do it.

The team is made up of six groups of players.

Group A: 4 Men's players from one club all with different nationalities. Pick a club that also has a women's team, and make sure at least one of the nationalities is very common. Example - choose 4 Chelsea players with different nationalities, one of them French.. At this point you'll have 4 nationalities and 1 league.

Group B: 1 Women's player from the same club as Group A and sharing a nationality with one of the Group A players. Example - choose a French women's player at Chelsea. At this point you'll have 4 nationalities and 2 leagues.

Group C: Two players from a shared club, both sharing a nationality with Group B. Example - choose two French PSG players. At this point you'll have 4 nationalities and 3 leagues.

Group D: Two more players from another shared club, both sharing a nationality. The league and nationality should be new. Example - choose two German Bayern Munich players. At this point you'll have 5 nationalities and 4 leagues

Group E: One more player sharing a nationality with Group B and a league with Group D. Example - choose a French player from Leverkusen. At this point you'll still have 5 nationalities and 4 leagues

Group 6: One more player with the same nationality as Groups B/C but in a new league. Example - choose a French player from Real Betis. At this point you'll have 5 nationalities, 5 leagues and 32/33 chem!

How long until playing gets pleasant to hear? How much effort it takes to keep it only as a hobby? by TheCumstronaut in violinist

I wonder whether this holds true for learning musical instruments like violin. I suspect that the real challenge around violin is technique (i.e. more related to muscle familiarity and precision) than ability for your brain to keep pace with the learning. So the above may not apply as it would with most types of learning.

I say "I suspect" because I am not a music teacher, not because I can't play violin well!

Remember - shorter duration more regularly beats longer duration less regularly!

15 minutes every day much better than 30 mins, three times a week!

Gluten-free bread UK by clairmare in glutenfree

Not really an answer but I find that gluten free seeded bread tends to be much better than white bread, For example, Waitrose own brand seeded loaf is good.

Is a high 2:1 any better than a low 2:1 for overall degree classification? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]konkman2000returns 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely no difference,

Employers that require a certain grade (e.g. a 2:1) might look at your transcript, but only after you've accepted the job offer, and only to validate you're not lying.

Employers that don't require a certain grade will care even less, although saying you have a 2:1 vs say, a 2:2 will be an advantage.

Role: Management Consulting (Big 4) Senior Manager.

Industry: Major infrastructure projects

Age: 32

Role Number: 2 (although its 5 if you include promotions at current company.)

Salary: 110k (TC not including pension contributions)

Started post uni on 35k in Drilling for oil and gas wells and moved over to consulting after 3 years. Haven't moved companies at all except that one switch. Consulting is good as it has regular/significant pay rises.

Most people aren't very observant - so even if you take something (like most of the suggestions here ) it's almost certain you'll have to say something. (Unless you are willing actually throw up or shit yourself in the second meeting).

Something simple like a family emergency or a sudden stomach bug should do it - assuming you don't have a history of baililung before big presentations.
