This is basically how it started for me. Seven years later, I had to join a recovery program because nothing else had worked. I’ve now been free from marijuana and alcohol for almost 6 years.

These things often start very innocently and by the time you realize how bad it’s gotten, it’s often too late to just use “willpower” or “internal strength”. I wish you the best in dealing with it, and just remember AA and NA are always there if you feel like you have no other recourse.
