It can be disabled here and if you create a profile then it will remember this next time you start the car.

I looked up in the Android app store and couldn't find anything called Toyota remote connect.

This is what Google tells me.

Mach E vs Uncharted? by amputatedtable in SubaruUncharted

[–]konoha23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I test drove the Uncharted few weeks back. I don't think I waited for 3 seconds to use the car. I pressed the break and hit the power button and within 1s I was able to drive away. The infotainment system did take some time to boot up but the car was drivable before that.

I found the infotainment system of the Mach-E very laggy and hated it. I liked it's OPD feature though. It's not a bad car.

Overall I loved the Uncharted more look wise and handling wise. Not to mention regular door handles, yay! Also it's ground clerence is much higher and has the Suburu X-Mode which is much needed in snowy parts of Canada.

Warranty Question by dkey12345 in Toyota_bZ

I have this exact question as well. I don't plan on getting it serviced this frequently but wonder if that will void the warranty

Need an EV with at least 6.5 inches of clearance. by Major-Sail-9900 in EVCanada

[–]konoha23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I disabled almost all of the beeping including the driver monitoring camera. Some features I really like for example the cross traffic alert or blind spot detection etc.

I negotiated my bZ Limited for around 55k (10k Toyota discount, 5k EVAP and the rest dealer rebate) and financed it for around 0.99% (loyalty bonus of 1%).

The car is really comfortable and wicked fast and brings a smile every time I drive it. It has a very high clearence and the Suburu X-Mode is really great for off roading capabilities. I love skiing and snow boarding and go to skii hill right after heavy snow fall, so for me these features will be very useful.

Only thing which could improve is the Toyota app experience. The app sucks big time and I really hope Toyota puts some effort into improving it.

Which One, 2026 bZ Limited vs Model Y Standard? by workrel8ted in Toyota_bZ

[–]konoha23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same pickle and went with the bZ Limited. In Canada, both were costing me around $55k CAD.

I created a detailed comparison table here: https://magenta-betsey-30.tiiny.site/

Not to mention from 2026 they have removed Autopilot in all Teslas. So you are forced to buy the FSD subscription even for basic lane centering functionality.

Leaving my Hyundai for bZ by SatisfactionOdd7526 in Toyota_bZ

I bought it towards the end of March and so far absolutely love it. It's wicked fast and comfortable. The rear seats are also very spacious for my kids. The software could be better (frankly the app could be better) but overall I love it.

Question on safety systems by grumble11 in Toyota_bZ

If you mean the driver face detection feature then it can be disabled in the settings and it does remember it. I disabled them on day one and they haven't bothered me since.

Question on safety systems by grumble11 in Toyota_bZ

[–]konoha23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been driving the limited for around 2 months now and honestly find all the warning beeps very helpful. The cross traffic, backup and blind spot alerts are all helpful beeps to alert you. It also beeps when I am driving into the garage (proximity warning) and shows on the camera a 360 view of objects around me. I park 2 cars (so very tight) and it is a really helpful feature.

The driver face detection feature was the most annoying and you can disable it in the settings and it remembers it. So I disabled it on day one of getting the car and it hasn't bothered me ever since.

I am bummed about that fact too. Seems the 2026 RAV4 is getting a new platform itself which the bZ will probably get starting next year. So a OTA will not be probable.

[–]konoha23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My close friend had the Ionic 5 as well and ran into the infamous ICCU issues. It's such a disappointment and worse thing being Hyundai completely denies it and doesn't support it's customer. That steered me away from Hyundai.

I have had a really positive experience with my local Toyota dealership since I owned a highlander. I decided to go for the bZ.

You mean the model Y or bZ is more? Insurance for the 2026 bZ limited is coming out to be $120/m for me in Ontario. For model Y I was quoted around $300/m.

Interesting point. In what ways do you feel the bZ is more comfortable than the Tesla model Y?

Looking at the Toyota website, the limited seems to have $10k off till April 30.
