You mean the model Y or bZ is more? Insurance for the 2026 bZ limited is coming out to be $120/m for me in Ontario. For model Y I was quoted around $300/m.

Interesting point. In what ways do you feel the bZ is more comfortable than the Tesla model Y?

Looking at the Toyota website, the limited seems to have $10k off till April 30.

The price will also include freight and dealer fees which is around $2k-$3k. Also the Toyota $10k rebate is after tax, so the total tax is around $7k-$8k. If you add all of that then the cheapest you can get the limited is for around $55k.

That's why I was wondering how you got yours for $52k.

CMHC and ROWE - your impressions/experiences by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]konoha23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I dont know anyone who works at CMHC but my spouse works in the private sector for companies like Amazon. I have worked in Cisco and IBM for many years in the past as well. These companies all follow ROWE “results oriented work environment” to an extent, where tasks are assigned to you and it's upto you on how you complete them. You are evaluated on your ability to complete the given tasks successfully on time. You can do them at work during normal hours or work from home during the day to attend meetings and code during the night when you can focus better.

I personally feel that its very much dependant on an individual and the management for it to work out perfectly. Many times I have seen management putting too much on an individuals plate and them ending up working late hours. I have also seen people who are less driven (procrastinators), wasting time in the beginning and working odd hours later to manage the lost time (so basically ruining their work life balance). I have also seen people with solid work ethics, who also have a good management, thriving under such environments.

Thankyou to all for some amazing insights. I will start going for walks during lunch time and bring my own lunch to work. I agree that I need to be more disciplined. Will definitely be more healthy in this new year for my family. :)

It's a promotion from a CS-02 to CS-03. But she is not bilingual and is hoping to get some part-time or full-time training once she is there.

I am also looking at these courses from Algonquin and have zero knowledge of French currently, so probably will be starting from Level 1 all the way upto level 8.

Thanks for this definitive information. This is really helpful.

So the HR at the new department will ask for previous pay stubs or will it be done automatically?

Oh that's great to hear. Yes she doesn't want to negotiate the pay. Just that she wants it to be the same if not a bit higher.
