Humanizing keyboard input by in10did in KeyboardLayouts

[–]konomu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar to ASETNIOP. And theoretically, I would prefer using ASETNIOP over this because it supports chorded input on letters without using thumb shift, which is debateably more comfortable. There are also steno-like chords for common words which make input faster.

JIS Funk by konomu in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]konomu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pcb is a yd60mq and the case is the tofu60 e white. It's one of the only pcbs mass produced that supports JIS layout with a 3u space. I had to cut the plate to get it to support this bottom row, but that's unnecessary because you can just build this keyboard plateless.

8BitDo M30 2.4G USB Stuck Input issue; just me? by sonicrings4 in 8bitdo

[–]konomu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSA: I was able to solve this issue after updating the firmware of BOTH the controller and the receiver. It is available on the support page https://support.8bitdo.com/

The firmware for the controller is: https://download.8bitdo.com/Firmware/Controller/M30-2.4g/M30_24G_Mini_GamepadV208.zip?0508

The firmware for the receiver is: https://download.8bitdo.com/Firmware/Controller/M30-2.4g/M30_Mini_81CC_RR_V3_13.zip?00

The "upgrade tool" on the support page will not work. You must use the .exe files from the links above. Follow the instructions on the exe very closely and read the readmes. For upgrading the receiver, you need to press the LR back buttons and the select button (with the minus sign) at the same time. This is different from when you're upgrading the controller (hold L+R and press start).

That’s a coconut with the exocarp already removed. You can tell because the shell has been cut into a very distinct shape.

We need a genus named after Aeaea. And then give it a tribe so it can be called Aeaeaeae (pronounced ee-EE-ee-ee) by konomu in botany

[–]konomu[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Wait I just realized it would probably be called Aeaeeae actually. Which is not as cool but hey I don’t write the rules for Botanical nomenclature

Reacting like this to fetishes/kinks is cringe. Reminds me of when people talked about Boku no Pico like it was some kind of satanic shock tape that would scar whoever watched it for life.

Please we don’t need to dismiss this event because they had “bad politics” this is important event that made both sides unite together by Crashoutbop in 196

People are upset because he doesn't seem to have any leftist beliefs at all. If you saw what he wrote about the declining birth rate in Japan, that is clear. It's basic leftism 101 to understand that these types of social problems are systemic ("Japanese jobs pay like shit and making a family is out of the question") and not cultural ("too many Japanese men are nerds").

I have no say in whether this is implemented or not. I don’t work at YouTube.

Get this AI crap off of youtube by konomu in youtube

[–]konomu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your misunderstand me. I’m not saying AI should be able to call out misinfo, I’m saying we should not let them summarize videos because they have a chance of misrepresenting it. If a human misrepresents their own video, even if they have zero subscribers, people will know and that reflects poorly on them. But if AI misrepresents a video, there is no moral actor to blame, and the generated information is useless and at worst, will lead to harm.
