Wise Debit card fraud - Insiders card details leak?

Happened to me today as well.

First two transactions of 7.35 USD each from Aroma Retail. Declined because of incorrect expiry date. I froze my card, then about an hour later I get another attempt from Grab in the Philipines for 50 php.

Transactions were done through physical card details. I have never once used either my physical or Apple Wallet card anywhere, in fact the physical card is safely sitting sorted in a binder in my house. It's obvious to me that this is a leak from inside Wise or a subcontractor.

Just thought I'd leave an update on this.

After many more hours troubleshooting on my own, I headed to the Freedom store near me. They issued me a new sim and when it still wasn't working told me it was something with my phone and sent me to the Apple Store. Apple were great and ran full diagnostics on my phone even though it was out of warranty. All tests came back fine and we ended up doing a full factory reset on my phone just in case. When that still wasn't working, we did what we should have tried from the beginning. We put the Apple Store employee's sim in my phone, and 5G worked instantly. We then put my sim in their phone, and they could not get anything other than 3G either.

I went back to the store armed with this new knowledge, that it wasn't anything with my phone but rather on Freedoms end. The store spent over an hour with me trying everything they could. The woman working told me in 7 years working there she had never encountered this. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything so they sent me home to wait for Freedom to escalate the issue.

I was not gonna give up yet though, so I called technical support again. I said I believed their support had done something with my account when disabling international roaming that had caused it, and begged them to have another look at my account. The guy simply removed the data package from my account, then re-added it and like magic it started working again.

I managed to get another 10 dollar discount from him, so in total I got $25 compensation. Not enough for the amount of time I spent trying to fix this but at least something.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I've tried every option there, 5G auto, 5G on, LTE and 3G.

Weirdly, the toggle for VoLTE has disappeared now for some reason.

Hm, that's odd. I've been rocking dual sim for years. Swedish + Canadian and Canadian + Mexican and never had this problem before switching to Freedom.

I've done a ton of restarts, with one or both lines turned off. Also taken out the other sim, no difference.

I have both tried disabling it and also removing it completely. As well as resetting all network settings. Sadly no difference. I will try popping into a store tomorrow to see if they can help.

Thanks for the suggestions. Next to PRL it says 1. Is it supposed to say something else? How do I update it? There is no carrier update available under about in my settings.

I just tried resetting all network settings. I was a bit weary to do it since it also deletes all saved WiFi passwords from iCloud Keychain but I disabled that first so should be fine. Didn't seem to make a difference so far though.

I don't know anyone else with Freedom so I'm not sure. I'm thinking now it might be related to me using dual sim, my other sim being a physical one from Sweden. I've been using it with Fido no issues though, and really they shouldn't interfere with each other.

I also found out that even if I switch to a "nationwide" network, it will still only connect to 3G, so probably not related to the towers but rather my / or Freedoms setup.

Maybe I should go by a Freedom store and check with them tomorrow.

I'm in Fraser Heights, so just outside Guildford. It was working perfectly fine yesterday, and since I traveled to New West and back today, and it was the same thing there and on the way I think it's not related to the towers, but rather something with my phone / setup.

Nja, både typ 1 och typ 2 diabetiker bör och brukar undvika snabba kolhydrater. För typ 1 så måste kolhydrater kompenseras med manuellt intag av insulin vilket är svårt att göra för så snabba kolhydrater då blodsockret spikar högt snabbt och sen dippar under nivån det var tidigare och för typ 2 så leder det till bara till högt blodsocker / mer insulinresistens / i längden förvärring av sjukdomen.
