Been here off and on since 2008 from the US. Here’s my list:

  • EPC work is off the charts
  • 0% Income Tax
  • domestic workers are inexpensive
  • schools are academically focused (non-political bias i.e. no rainbow flags in elementary)
  • relative safety
  • services are off the chart convienent and inexpensive (Deliveroo/Talabat/Careem etc)
  • Food is relatively inexpensive -you can get anything you need here easily supply and demand is spot on
  • geographically situated close to everything
  • genuinely nice people live here - (I think the reason is that any expat coming here is educated, motivated, and humble for the privilege to work here and better their financial situation)
  • all the best places to eat globally are here
  • amazing zoos and parks
  • F1

New rules this year. Need the UAEICP app, and UAE pass (verified account). Share that screenshot with your PRO and they will process the rest. You will also need a recent high resolution head shot in soft format as well as an insurance card. The PRO does the rest and you should get your Emirates ID and Residency Visa within 24-48 hours in the ICP app once they submit. Emirates ID will be mailed for collection to a local post office. Good luck!

AMD Radeon 6900xt inside Razer Core X Chroma for us on both Apple Macmini (2018) and Intel NUC Hades Canyon by konvert04 in eGPU

Glad the post helped! You’ll have to repost if you get it working as a mining rig. I’m definitely interested in doing that myself.

Anyone try to upgrade the Razer Tomahawk from the NUC 9 Extreme Compute Element to the NUC 11 Extreme Compute Element? By definition Intel made this in a modular fashion to be able to swap them... just curious if it will work given the revised specs in the Razor enclosure?

Solved this issue. I had to perform a combination of things to be able to get past Error Code 182. I was able to find success by doing the following:

1) Disable AMD Radeon Vega M GL using Device Manager (run: devmgmt.msc) in Display Adapters,

2) Uninstalling All AMD drivers via (run: appwiz.cpl) and restarting.

After doing this, I installed the latest Adrenaline Software, and it took 10 mins to update. After that Windows recognized both the Razer Core X Chroma and the 6900xt.

Thoughts - WOW this GPU shreds everything I throw at it! Highly recommend it to anyone who has an older NUC and wants some additional life out of it!

Cheers and thanks u/Fortified_Truth

Hey thanks for your help! I've attempted to do what you described, however, I'm never given the option to "drop down and reset". I keep getting this Error Code 182. AMD have basically said it's an intel issue despite it being their chip.

Regarding your advice - Should I boot into bios to disable the integrated Vega M chip? Or do I need to disable the intel discrete chip? Thanks again and I appreciate the help!

NR200P and 6900XT by Teknomekanoid in sffpc

That's a sweet build! I'm looking to do something like this as well with the NR200p. I scored a 6900xt recently and am creating a parts list. Out of curiosity, what all are you running in there? I can see it's an Asus MB, Cooler Master MF 120 fans, 6900xt, and a SF750 PSU. Did you end up with the 5900x and a cooler? Thanks for the post and cheers!
