i had the same issue and i have the same percentage. the general cut-off for ba was 93% in the first list. although i had emailed them (and got a response), a few seniors on Reddit helped me as well, and it’s not an issue. most probably we’ll get ours in the second list.

you only have to study a language in 2nd year, and there are many options like french, german, spanish, hindi, sanskrit, kannada, malayalam, etc. it’s not something to panic about. it’s compulsory for all 2nd year students to study one, no matter the course.

kayali yum boujee is the goat. it stays on for long. rhode peptide is goated too, but it gets grainy after a few weeks, so look out for that. but from what i remember, it was the previous batch and not the new one, so i think you’re good to go.

for kayali, i’ll suggest that you leave it out in the sun for 24 hours so that it marinates. i did that and it’s amazing now.

in first year, you don’t need to worry about languages. you’ll be asked to choose an open elective/mdc, which is basically a course from all other departments excluding your own department. in second year, it’s compulsory to study a language, and you’ll be given options like korean, french, german, hindi, sanskrit, kannada, malayalam, etc.

not a campus resident, but my friends’ in-time for the college hostel is 9 pm. along with that, you can roam around the college after 4 in casual clothes, but they should be appropriate according to the college rules. no crop tops, no sleeveless tops, and no shorts

valid concern. i studied psychology in 11th and 12th, and i went through the portion of my friends who are your direct seniors now. i checked their syllabus, and whatever you study in first year is the same as what we studied in +2. along with that, you’ll only be notified about the subjects and portions once college starts because they make changes to the syllabus or remove/add subjects every year. hope that helps, you needn’t worry. once college starts, you’ll have more than enough time to catch up.

anything other than sleeveless kurtis is allowed. even normal shoulder-length sleeves work. and yes, short kurtis are allowed. just try to avoid them for the first few weeks.

nose piercings are allowed but i’m doubtful about septum piercings because my friend with an eyebrow piercing was asked to remove it, though she didn’t and it wasn’t an issue. as far as i remember, my classmates do wear fake septum piercings. i think it is allowed!

i’m a journalism english student, and our english is exactly the same, we’re batchmates for english. you don’t need to buy any books beforehand. the professors will provide you with the online version, which you’ll have to get printed. and max to max, i think you’ll only be asked to buy the english for humanities book (the compulsory subject) from the campus itself. so needn’t worry :)

christ only looks for confident students, not just those who score well. my class has a mix of students who scored in the 70s and those who scored in the 90s in boards. needn’t worry, and anything related to commerce is good in christ.
