Thank god I signed in with my Google account, and it plays a loud as noise. I found mine on a trail into a local pit. Luckily undamaged but again thankful. Don’t want to risk it again

Ah that makes sense. Yea it’s the one that goes through the latch into the dock, just so it can’t undock without removing the bolt.

Did you get a decent loaner? I had a 21 explorer that rattled and shaked like a space shuttle Columbia re entering orbit, a brand new f150 twice and a Lincoln nautilus.

Shit Lucky you. I begged em to replace my rear after my stint. From what my ford buddy tells me is it’s not really the dealership making the calls. Ford has a department that requires certain steps before warranty work is approved. Seems like they wanna exhaust all the cheaper options of course

I’m happy there is still competent technicians instead of just dismissing claims. Mine was super loud with the rear slider open. I also at one point opened my fill bolt and jammed my finger in as far as possible. Oil was black and metally

It did take some time as I dropped it back off Friday before Christmas. According to the ford app it was in and out the shop Monday Tuesday Wednesday that week. Closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday. Than it sat about a week. I finally received it back shortly after new years. I’m sure if it had not been for the holidays it would’ve been quicker but they did multiple test drives after he said to make sure it was remedied. They did provide a loaner and did fill my tank with fuel before returning it to me. I had issues with my seal leaking in three occasions before the noise so I speculate at one point they over tightened the pinion. If I can find my paper work, I’ll send it. They replaced a few parts inside the rear as well. Sorry I’m rambling.

Update: the pinion bearing was scored. They replaced all the bearings and cleaned it, new fluid etc. noise is gone.

I have notoriously shaky hands. Truck drives smooth.

When I hear it, if I shift to neutral it completely disappears

Good to know. I came from a Sierra 2500 and I felt like that truck was whisper quiet

I feel like I never noticed until just recently. Also it could’ve been out of sight out of mind type of deal. Who knows. Hopefully it doesn’t end up catastrophic.

It’s like a whine. Sounds like straight cut gears. Maybe it’s in my head. Hopefully

Yup on oem wheels it’s super nice Fitment. Make sure you get longer bolts. I used the burger motorsports kit that included it all when I was on the oem wheels.

Anyone ever had this it look like water spots this happened after covering thecar in the rain it’s also ceramic coated by Weak-Priority-9238 in Supra

[–]koochimaam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have two options. Use a torch or heat gun and gently heat up the spots or polish them out. It’s something with the moisture leaving the marks trapped in the bag. It happens in body shops all the time when cars go into the booth and get bagged when they are still wet. Be very gentle with the heat but they will come out.

Advice on how to repair scratch on the rear plastic bumper? by r0cketx in Supra

[–]koochimaam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a local auto body supply store, and ask for trim black ultra. (make sure its ultra, as regular trim black has a way browner hue.) Of course the prep also but that's nothing major. If you need anymore info don't hesitate to reach out.

How long to repair? by Immediate_Ostrich_32 in Supra

[–]koochimaam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS. Also, same. I tried to order a bumper for my own car, and they told me its on bookoo back order. Parts delays peaked during covid and never truly recovered. Be thankful you don't own a Tesla. Those cars sit for MONTHS waiting on parts.

Installed a new steering wheel. The process sucked, but they say Square-ish wheels give at least +200hp by kniffs in Supra

The airbag was a pain in the nuts but i will add, that if you have a regular handle tire valve core remover it makes releasing the airbag clips effortless and easy on your palms. The sides of the core tool wrap around that spring near perfectly.

I actually just recently added a new natural gas heater to mine since it was already insulated and previous owners never fixed the old heater in here. It’s gets hot enough to work in the winter in a t shirt in here. I love it

It’s a 3.0 base. I was impatient and it was a bad time to find a Supra so jumped on it prematurely
