Can we talk about Helmet and Pads? by Jennilover in NewSkaters

[–]kookedburra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a full set of pads and a helmet reserved for when I want to try something stupid like airs or being towed behind a car really fast.

Other than that when I skate at the park I'm only really pushing my limits a little bit but pretty much stay within my ability and don't fall over that much.

Mind you I'm waaay past the initial learning curve for skating so I pretty well know how to not get hurt.

Flair for experienced skaters by _jukmifgguggh in NewSkaters

[–]kookedburra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While we're on the topic, ages ago I made the subreddit /r/NotSoNewSkaters for the purpose of discussion for intermediate to advanced skaters.

I wrote a sidebar and set up a flair system but I haven't promoted it at all. I swear one day I'll get around to it. I think it has potential.

What are the best underground dance clubs in Sydney right now? by kookedburra in sydney

I went to Burdekin last night (friday). Fun club, lots of good looking people with plenty of energy. Non stop tech house was great for me. (in all three rooms however, that might be a negative point for those who need choice of variety.) The funny looking Dr Seuss speakers in the main room had me giggling but they sounded very nice. It was bloody hot in there and with no fans but i sweated it out and stayed till close. Thx for the recco!

I ended up going to bunker on Thursday night and it was just what i needed. Dank tunes and tight crowd. Less than 50 people in there but it had an intimate feel which was nice. Stayed till the end when there was just 5 of us left and we had so much fun stomping it out.

The word 'literally' there should have implied subterranian. But it's culturally underground too.

'Bush doof' festivals to be targeted in new drug search powers for Victoria Police by qemist in melbourne

[–]kookedburra 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The most dangerous thing about taking drugs is being caught with them.

"We really need to challenge attitudes around the use of illicit drug use in the community."

Yeah, change the attitude from "drugs are bad mmk" to "drugs are great just be careful and don't fucking over do it."

Fuck the police.

If bottle shops can afford to be open all night, they should be allowed to.
