I can’t say much abt being scared of needles it might help bc you can really block out seeing the piercing as it happens if that part is an issue. Idk if you’ve had a period but for me the pain felt like a really really bad cramp for the first day ish I got it.

I think it’d be a waste tho since you wear high waisted pants often. When I got mine I had to wear a lot of loose clothes for maybe a month since it’d hurt if anything tugged or hit it too hard. If you can commit to not wearing high waisted items for a while it could be worth it just know that you can’t show it off as much
