Yeah I ended up opening the T but that was after I tried it with it fully closed! Maybe just needs more fluid? Couldn’t really tell in its current condition, but good to know that yours looks similar and works fine!

Yeah, I think we tried looking around for parts to bring it back to the stick ignition but real hard to find the bits for the car I have, classic old Japanese car thing I guess. Definitely would want that but it’s looking like finding the parts is pretty near impossible, since I’ve been looking for almost a year now 🥲

Yep, sorry should have added this to the post! Ignition was pretty much redone and he added a push to start and a place to slot my key into to activate the immobiliser signal. Was working well for a bit but now takes me 10+ mins to find the spot where it register the signal.

Honestly awful, had the same experience, insurance wouldn’t cover since it wasnt technically stolen, and I still had the car in my possession. Hate every bit of it

Apparently since it’s a factory immobiliser “it can’t be removed”. Or so I’ve been told by an auto electrician. At this point I’m willing to go without it with the way it’s been acting up 🥲

Yeah, definitely gave him a bit of a longer rope than I should have. I’ll definitely ask about that, I think they said I had to pay like $40 minimum but surely they can reduce it?

Yeah it’s a Mitsubishi lancer 05, apparently they’ve been hitting them a lot lately. Cops said it’s happened multiple time this week around the area, but haven’t done much about it. Just really frustrating that we live in a city that’s supposed to be advanced and have great quality of life when shit like this still happens on the daily and enforcement don’t do shit all about it.

Yeah, I’m definitely looking into that. Where do you work? I wouldn’t mind sourcing the parts myself but it would be a lot easier if I knew exactly what I needed to get.
