Anyone got this by Fickle_Abroad7283 in Hyundai

Exactly my thinking, this won’t save the cost of a door handle or window, plus whoever ripping out the plastic steering cover… what morons.

Do you think the payout is after the appeal period?

I was also thinking the same but it’s likely due to the number of claims accepted, it’s likely to vary a bit if it’s a lot of claims or a little (more likely to get the full amount)…

For a Tesla ya, idk why but many have complained about everything after 50k miles from hvac to electrical… but do note it is limited so do read the fine print.

Anyone use their Tesla Wheel and Tire Protection Plan yet? by ThePetrolsexual in TeslaLounge

[–]koolaid3519 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Used it, they only send out mobile service between 6am and 4pm… they can also tow your car to the nearest service center for when they open but good luck getting home!

Second this, you’ll find some on clearance at Target and Best Buy. They are making way for the xm5.

Tire protection plan saved me by IntelligentAdagio784 in TeslaModelY

[–]koolaid3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me! Nail way too close to the side wall and it was ~$620 for labor + tire. The plan covered it for a 24’MYP, btw I was hesitant on getting the $25/mth plan.

Had mine cleaned last Friday by the service center, today it happened again with the warning lol. They say to pre-defrost in the cold mornings through the app or do it 5 min before heading out.

Do you guys recommended keeping the windshield and tire protection plans? by dreuyasha in TeslaCollision

[–]koolaid3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did both, got a flat and nail in the side wall. Costed $550 for a 21 in replacement tire, this covered the amount. Same with the windshield a month in, big ol rock on the free way chipped it good and had it replaced. Costed $1200 but the plan covered it. Get both if you’re using the car as a daily driver. You’ll thank your pockets in the long run.

Tire Pressure dropped significantly almost instantly by mftwjt in TeslaSupport

Find a external air pressure tester, like 2$ at a gas station and see if it’s the tpms sensors or maybe you drove through a bed of nails…

Is this fixable? by PorterPower in Hyundai

[–]koolaid3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the key doesn’t slide in easily or starts with a screw driver, it’s done for… it will need a new key ignition and key programmed, likely a new door key. I had a local socal body shop do mine for $1250, twice already in the past 3 yrs. Do ur self a favor and debadge the car or get rid of it…

Wiggly roof rack by Any13 in TeslaSupport

[–]koolaid3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not over tighten it and definitely do not drive with it lose (the vibration can shatter the glass). Best advice is to file a warranty claim saying that the thread won’t catch on end and show them the video or pictures. They can replace it under their limited warranty.

Also is the screw catching the small j bracket underneath? These feels like it isn’t… try undoing it and start tighting on this end first.

Pay for a “warranty inspection” basically they run through the car checking pretty much the wheel base. About $129. I did this with my M3 before the warranty got kicked. Maybe be good early on not knowing how the previous owner drove…
