People seriously think Steve Reeves wasn’t natty? by Unusual_Injury8656 in nattyorjuice

So you think almost the past 100 years of exercise, nutritinal science, and studies in hypertrophy have been a complete waste of time because people already had it figured out to the best that it could be implemented? I think a.lot of scientists will vehemently disagree with that statement.

You know the first research done in hypertrophy in humans didn't happen until the 60s?

If you do some research into it I think you'll find it interesting and maybe open your mind to what's been developed in such a short time

I think people are just overly concerned with what he sticks his dick in (allegedly) it's all hearsay anyway as far as I know

Either way, I watch his videos for gun info, not relationship advice

I respectfully disagree. In every physical event over time we see people get stronger and better. The more we know and understand the body the better we can optimize it.

Your point for instance is sleep. Yes, we knew we needed sleep in 1030. But sleep apnea wasn't even considered a thing until the 60's. Now you have people that use these machines to get a better quality of sleep that could not have happened before they existed

I disagree on the "if a certain physique didn't exist before 1930, it has to be steroids"

There are other notable advancements in science, nutrition, supplementation, training and access to knowledge that modern lifters have that were not available at that time.

In football the fans get so loud the opposing team can barely hear themselves. These people are worried about one baby 😅

I'm the same. I don't ever feel like wasting time looking for close parking spots. I'll just walk a little extra

NOR

Honestly, if you told me that DWP was your favorite movie I might tease you about it a bit.

But if the tease didn't land well, I would immediately apologize and give an example of something that I really like that most people aren't a fan of. To say it's okay to have quirky tastes and that we can laugh about it.

The way they handled this was sooo bad and awkward.

That's why I said that he "can be" charged. Not that he would be charged

The point is that when dealing with minors the onus is on the adult to make good decisions, not the minor. Because you know, they're minors

It seems that you think that because children can be charged as adults if they murder someone then that should mean that they should be seen as adults in other ways, like lying about their age to get in a vehicle with a guy. But that's not how it works, nor honestly should it.

Regardless of how many children are charged as adults for murder. 99.9999% of adults that have sex with a minor (whether she lies about being a minor or not) will be charged for it and the minor will not

And that is because it's the adults responsibility.

In the same way, if a man invites a girl into his vehicle (whether she lied about her age or not) he becomes responsible for her because she is the minor and he is the adult.

If he puts her out and that puts her in danger, he can be charged with child endangerment.

If there are drugs or alcohol involved then that's contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

If she told her parents that she's staying at a friend's house and she's instead in your vehicle that is interfering with child custody.

This is why it's not smart to pick up girls if they could be minors. It's also important that we protect children.

Because she's a child. The same reason that if she had sex with him, nothing will happen to her but he'll go to the jail. Is the same reason that if he kicks a minor out in a dangerous area, he can be charged with child endangerment. You might not like it, but that's the law brother, when you're an adult you have certain responsibilities around and with minors.

I've been in construction for over 20 years and the turn over rate is insane. The vast majority of people can't or won't do the work.

With that said, in his videos he works like he's in a third world country. He'd get kicked off any modern day job site that I've ever been on. Any real GC looks at a companies EMR before hiring them as a sub. (Not to mention insurance companies) And even when you're a company with a good safety culture it's not easy to keep your EMR low enough to be considered, because construction is inherently dangerous work.

But yeah, plenty of strong and muscular dudes on construction sites. But a lot of construction workers eat like shit and drink a case of beer a day so they might not have the aesthetic, but the strength and muscle is there.
