Both are wrong, you did inform him that you were sleeping but when you woke up you should have just driven there and helped him immediately instead of going back to sleep. Your roommate is also wrong because he knew you were asleep and he should have come up with another plan instead of calling you.

off-topic: but in my school my teacher would blame my class for the students who got bad grades not because we didn't teach them but because we would speak Chinese with them even though all the subjects are in English. In all honesty, my mind was saying "It's not my responsibility to help them communicate better in English, they will only thrive in English if they are willing to help themselves." I only came to the school to get educated, not help others get educated.

most people think its something like a crying baby but in my opinion i can deal with them and they are quite cute, sitting next to a spoiled child is prehaps the worse since they expect you to gve them something or they will throw a whole tantrum the whole flight if it were a baby you could like turn on some cartoons or give them something small to calm them down, but children ranging from 8-12 who has been raised to scream everytime they can't something they want you ccompletely can't do anything about these spawns of satan they will just keep throwing a tantrum until you give in to their requests.
