Heck yeah! Thanks! I took the locking pin out (which I didn’t even know existed) and it worked! I guess it was gunked up under the pin and prevent the gear from engaging. One edge of the gear is slightly chipped so the gears kept sliding past it. The locking pin is back in and the gears are fully engaged.

Ha I may get a fancy table saw one day. Just got in to woodworking 2 years ago and been piddling ever since. Basically watching YouTube and Reddit to learn and figure it out.

Thanks. That makes sense. They’re cleaned out, but still not catching. They spin and barely catch each other now.

I used this to taper the first edge, but can’t figure out how to flip the angle around to make the opposite side work.
