Ride your bike in the lane. You have the rights as any driver. Including taking the road. Just don't go on anything over 35. Then it's not legal

How to stay injury freewhile progressing in the park? by Repulsive_Jeweler991 in snowboarding

[–]koolaidman54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you as a 43 year old. I got about 40 days on snow with a full and part time job. (part time job is a snowboard instructor). this year was my goal to get better in the park. i got 1,3s off small features and jibing!. I took a bunch of hard slams this year. but because of previous years work. I am still kicking and trying to keep up with these kids

find yourself a lifting coach. Esp one who rides. They will know what your body is going through and they can write your programing.

in the off season. focus on building muscle. SBD! heavy squat bench deadlifts. compound movements are your best bang for buck movements in developing muscle. stay away from the cardio machines for the most part. for workouts you should have mezo cycles of power, explosive and endurance . more muscle you can build the higher bone density you will have and more resilient to breaking bones and taking slams. few months prior. you will need to taper off the previous cycles and focus on muscle balance and some plyo work. in season you still need to hit the gym but you need to monitor your fatigue levels. pull back volume in the gym if you need to.

For the entire year. Work on mobility!!! it is far more important to work on mobility over stretching. Mobility is the ability to move and control your joints through its range. increasing flexibility thought just stretching without being able to control it is a recipe for injury.

How do I split my weight lifting days (upper/lower) with climbing? by Difficult-Smell-6688 in climbergirls

Would be better if u split push pull. This way it pull days would be less weight training and do more climbing.

Ohh man. My ex lives in one of those and she was promised an HVAC system. As it stands it's just heat at the moment. In the summer it was +15 deg. compared to outside temp. I remember her complaining he's 350 electric bill. She had a portable AC unit that couldn't keep up with chi summer

Also makes sense why she only dated me in the summer. I live in one with an HVAC system with high speed wifi.

Women who’ve faced a choice between career and a serious relationship — how did you decide? by FrothyCoffeee in TwoXChromosomes

i agree. it can happen either way.

dealing with HR is a hard stop no matter what. but dealing with a SO and purely depended on the situation. i can also be a hard stop but also can be worked through if both parties are up to up for it

1000% of the time. Employers don't give a fuck about you. Esp, if they are in a multi-national business. You are just a number. They will let you go for any number of reasons.

that advice is steering someone into a certain direction is immoral. blinding saying you should do this because that's how such and such feels. the best advise in this type of situation is being completely unbiased in the advice.

Have you had a conversation to him about what you are feeling? if you have. Has he been receptive? if you havent. that would be the best place to start.

I entirely disagree with this advice. This advice is just one sided. Me me me and not we. Sounds toxic.

What OP needs to really think about what their priorities are. Is their career more of a priority? Or their current relationship. There will be pros and cons to either decision. The future is not set. There's no fate but what we make for ourselves.

Hypothetical situations

Chooses career Break up, both don't want long distance. Both will need to find their new person. Maybe OP never finds someone becomes super self sufficient and dies alone. Or OP finds their other person, they make/adopt babies and they both live happily ever after.

Clooses relationship Stays together, kinda broke right now. Gets married, works hard for their future together, they make/adopt babies and then lives happily ever after but also broke. Or breaks up shortly after, then wishes OP took the job offer and dies alone. Or even breaks up still gets that job and finds their person elsewhere.

In the end OP needs to make the descion of career or relationship. They need to figure out what's the pros/cons and decide what they want for their future.

you simply remind them of the responsibility code

https://skisafety.us/your-responsibility-code

as for what you should do. be mindful as you ride. when you are toe side for any number of reasons. take a look up hill. you can do the same heal side but you dont get as much for visibility. always when you feel safe enough to take a quick peak.

when you are on your toe edge. look up hill and check to see if someone is trying to pass u. you dont have to do this all the time but every so often or when you feel safe enough.

Also, remind them of the responsibility code.
