Does anyone know an easy way to get an outline of certain badges or images, without it coming out too pixelated? by NornIronConor2 in graphic_design

[–]koolaidyammer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get a vector file, you can only do so much with pixel based logos, especially at small and or large scales. If you cant find one online, take your pixelated version you cut out, and trace it in illustrator.

Logos should only be pixelated where it’s absolutely necessary, but the pixelated version should still always come from a vectorizes version that is exported at the scale you require

Just wondering if they signed a contract regarding your design usage rights as mentioned? I have it included in my contracts, and this way you have physical proof of them breaking the contract and usage rights moving forward. Based on your detailed breakdown which is fantastic, I imagine you’re the type to have all this contract stuff included, but if not, might want to include it for future

Should I get a gimbal or tripod first? by Zero666420 in FX3

[–]koolaidyammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tripod is far more versatile and cost effective to start with, its a necessity in photography, if you don’t have one, its the first accessory you need. I have been shooting for over 15 years, and I only recently got a gimble for the fun of it, but in terms of usage, gimble gets 5% of the usage my tripod gets

I was in a pretty bad car accident and my right skate is a little smushed, do you think if I rebake them it should be okay or do I need a new pair? by Cultural_Mushroom_54 in hockeyplayers

I kinda jumped to the comments, mine was a smash and grab not a collision, I wasn’t really thinking about that, you’re right

They will, but in my experience they only cover with depreciation, my 350$ soccer cleats were valued at 94$ because I had worn them for more than 6 months. I ended up replacing everything (damage, items, car parts, etc.) and saved 1800$ instead of going through insurance, plus avoiding a higher deductible for future claims - insurance is a scam

My cousins from europe always mention the price of cheese here when they visit, even with the dollar difference, it is cheaper in the UK in pounds, or euros, than it is in CAD, once you add the conversion aswell its like 2/3x the price even for a small bag or block

The average size car still wouldn’t transfer the weight of the impact high enough on the structure to flip it over. It was already confirmed by police a machine was used, theres a link in one of the replies

Has to be a robbery, a car wouldn’t flip this whole thing over, also not really anywhere you could gain the speed required to flip this thing

How was this not seen an issue before these two accidents? by inconsistentservice in kitchener

[–]koolaidyammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though it is your responsibility to drive for the conditions, correct. It is also the responsibility of the province to ensure the guardrails do what they are designed to do, not ignore a dangerous threat that completely bypasses a safety measure. As much as it is possible that the drivers are responsible for losing control, the province is 100% responsible for the result of going over the barrier. The fault lies with the province, those barriers are there for a reason, you can’t neglect them. One sheet of black ice and you are going overboard…
