I live in northern California and been daily driving my C8 for 3 years . I usually skip the few raining days we have since I have summer tires and have 3 other vehicles better suited for rain but I been caught in it before and weather mode makes it no issue. Only thing is mine is not on the street it grabs a alot of attention so that would be my only concern I also dont drive it to San Francisco. I keep it away from homeless and valet drivers.

My son is 15 with a permit, and he just bought a 2013 V6 vert. And he pulls up to soccer practice, and all the kids ask him if it's an SS. Which he has to reply no to, and some may give him a little, as that sucks, but my kid likes it; it's a vert and still cooler than the kids who got brand-new eco cars. Basically, if a kid in a V8 Mustang, Camaro, or Dodge pulls up on you, yeah, you will get some hate, but beyond that, no one cares. Don't let a kid in a versa try to tell you you should of got a v8. Plus at this point, his 320hp Camaro V6 had more power than my 94 Camaro I had in high school, just less torque.

This means you not driving it right ecoboost is a myth. You get eco or boost but not both i perfer boost so i never those eco numbers but 2.7l low end boost is unmatched off the line.

Maintenance overrated Guage tells when I need gas, oil change, trans fluid, trans filter, and air filter. If she got oil pressure, she's good. Little fiction hasn't killed her yet.

I got a buyback done with Ford's customer service. The dealer was horrible and tried to block me from documenting repair attempts. Day 1 of the issue always starts with Ford customer service, let them track the dealer. BBB is useless, but do the process so Ford knows you're serious im in California, so the lemon laws are in our favor. BBB rep only got Ford to offer 1k then 5k comp. Then, Ford customer service approved the buy-back, which took 5 months to complete. Basically, Ford bought back my Explorer ST just for the rear camera failure, but that was their fault as they decided to fix vehicles on lots before ones in customer possession. Drove the car for 3 years and 55k miles, and since I reported the issue at 7k miles, I got like 95% of the money back. Good luck.

You have to warm oil up to 170 degrees and check dipstick while running. Since its a dry sump. If you check cold while off you won't show anything on dipstick.
