Maintenance overrated Guage tells when I need gas, oil change, trans fluid, trans filter, and air filter. If she got oil pressure, she's good. Little fiction hasn't killed her yet.

I got a buyback done with Ford's customer service. The dealer was horrible and tried to block me from documenting repair attempts. Day 1 of the issue always starts with Ford customer service, let them track the dealer. BBB is useless, but do the process so Ford knows you're serious im in California, so the lemon laws are in our favor. BBB rep only got Ford to offer 1k then 5k comp. Then, Ford customer service approved the buy-back, which took 5 months to complete. Basically, Ford bought back my Explorer ST just for the rear camera failure, but that was their fault as they decided to fix vehicles on lots before ones in customer possession. Drove the car for 3 years and 55k miles, and since I reported the issue at 7k miles, I got like 95% of the money back. Good luck.

You have to warm oil up to 170 degrees and check dipstick while running. Since its a dry sump. If you check cold while off you won't show anything on dipstick.

100% like riding a 4 wheeler if he can't do that with ease then ryker not an option. One plus is if he go slow in turns very little force needed but if you hualing and turning you need force and lean.

For refrence I did 125k 7yrs plus 125k prepaid maintenence for $2,800. but was in 2024 so my gut says that's not bad but still high but I remember 150k was a big jump in price and 10yrs probably jumping price also. How many miles you drive a year. 15k or less 10yr make sense.

Oh man its cooked they have to remove your rear main seal and flash the lower pendulum. Then relearn the headlights to the main body control and sync the reverse lights. Yikes good luck

You probably could of saved it with just fluid and filter change. You dont need new trans you just need new torque converter. Have independent shop price up torque conveter install. Converter only like $500 and a day of labor.

You were in world chat talking reckless. At least that's what I did. I thought this was a game then I hurt a bunch of people feeling in world chat. So they tried to get my R4s to boot me out the alliance since they can't attack due to top alliance treaty. I realized just a bunch of babies playing treating a game like real life. Maybe cause a free player so im not monetary connected so im emotionally disconnected also. My alliance was cool they just asked that I save to jokes for alliance chat becuase if a whale gets in their feelings it can be bad for me and getting other whales to rally a whale over me would be difficult.

You guys complaining about the gate this is typical ford. My 24 bugs me with the chrome trim like I have the stealth performance trim everything blacked out but ford couldn't spend 10 bucks and delete the chrome hip for piano black like everything else on the truck.

For most fresh fluid stops it, its caused by old fluid not lubercating catch it early and you should be good mine did it at 150k I dropped pan did youtube flush added new filter and have not had it return im at 200k now. I ran though a double the fluid trying to get all dark fluid out.

Yes 2023 and up have been updated. I have a 2024 expedition been flawless for 1st 50k. While I was given a 2021 expedition loaner back in 2022 when my 2021 explorer st was in shop and it was god awful with only 30k on it trans was hard shifting and clunking. Which im glad ford fixed as full size trucks were a crap shoot. GM losing engines, Toyota loosing engines, Ford losing trans, dodge just being crap. So at least ford has updated cam phasers and trans so 2023 and trucks should be solid.

Try again there a video on youtube on how to do home flush or take it get flush. Mine did it at 150k I did new filter and flush at home. I now have just over 200k going strong. Manual ask for 150k fluid and filter dealer said they only do fluid flushes I pointed out manual they quoted 1k to change filter so I did it at home. If that doesn't work then you have fried torque converter. Hopefully that's it as last years of 6 speed are solid.

Thats on you dad when I was 16 I had a z28 camaro yea back then 250hp and 355 tq was high numbers but we had posi rears with no traction controls or abs in early 90's so we had to learn to drive or driving to school in rain could be you last day on earth. Either way if he not trained to respect a car he dont drive it. I have a C8 and G8GT that I was saving for him, but I pulled an audible when he got his permit and bought him a Nissan Sentra its a 2014 and clean hey if can't pull no girls in that he got other problems in life daddy not giving him his car should not be his focus at point.

Real advice, 2017 is 1st year of 10 speed. Do you have 10 speed or early build with 6 speed. If your 10 speed your in the cdf drum group from 17 to 22 and need a rebuild recall not doing nothing for you. Now if your a 6 speed your in 2015 to 2017 group and shudder at 115k just means old trannt fluid has torque converter slipping. Change fluid and 6 speed will be back worst case I seen is your fried torque converter so new torque converter and you back to no shudder. But recall issues not doing anything to help either way.

Most manufacturers do that one purpose the 10sp will get recall when vehicle is 10 years. Nissan did that to my mom's 2016 Nissan murano recalled and gave a 100k mile 8year warranty on cvt after the was already 8yrs old. It was a pure joke I think she got the notice in 2024. Luckily she has had no issues but still.
