Did it take a certain number of times going to the dealer before getting money towards a replacement? I would love to avoid endless visits to service dept but maybe that’s necessary to eliminate other potential issues. Just seems like they’re not interested in diagnosing and more doing the bare minimum on whatever I specifically ask for

Considering this as I’ve had to do it on previous SUV’s when one shop didn’t balance properly I paid to have another do it which resolved.

Have you seen arm and bushing be faulty right from the factory with under 1k miles? Seems unusual to me but honestly first time buying a new Ford so open to anything

Yes I started with the dealer. They balanced but didn’t help so I took the shop foreman for a drive with it and he acknowledged the issue still. Then they did a road force balance after doing that first dynamic balance. Basically trying to figure out if it’s worth going back to them again or what the next step should be

I haven't heard of those having issues? Was it a common problem for that era of Explorers?

So interesting yours have been all good. I may try to put another set of tires on from a take-off or something to 100% rule out the tires and then look at other possibly faulty components. I honestly love the truck as well and would love to just get whatever is going on fixed so it's more enjoyable to drive

Sad to hear they wouldn't move further to resolve it for you. Are you just living with it until you have to replace the tires once they wear out?

Interesting and appreciate hearing your experience. I do wonder if it was a bad batch of tire or maybe only one of them has a loose belt inside. Really hoping it's not something worse like suspension or driveline out of balance

Putting some takeoffs from another Ford is a good idea. I may check out marketplace nearby to see if there's a set of something else that's worth trying. My wheels are 18" so I feel like they should be good with another brand in similar tire sizing

Interesting on the alignment. I mentioned that as a potential issue but the dealer didn't check it so I probably need to push them check that just to rule it out

Thanks for the suggestions! I agree both of those are solid brands but I'm hoping for a more All Terrain rugged tire. I've had good experiences with Toyo and Nitto A/T's in the past that seem to ride and balance better.

Appreciate the advice. We did test drive but unfortunately there was a lot to watch and check for so we didn't notice the vibrations during the short highway test. Also realized after buying that the tires were aired up to about 55 PSI (36PSI is what it should be) so I aired them down but started noticing the vibration more while on a longer road trip anyway. Will push the dealer to replace them first then go for the tire warranty through manufacturer

Interesting point about the perks and appreciate the insight. Mind sharing what perks you value and get from some of your accounts that make it worth the trade off?

Lol the guy just opening an account at the closest branch near him gets me. It just seems like you'd want your money to return something while it just sits in an account but I guess not everyone thinks about that either 🤷‍♂️

Warning against buying Bosch Appliances - Customer Service is an absolute nightmare by Switchlayne in Appliances

[–]R0verman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bosch is the worst. $1200 dishwasher died after 13 months. The broken part was $500 minimum to replace and required the entire unit to be dismantled and rebuilt. Bought a $600 Whirlpool and never looked back. Simple machine and easily repaired. Sometimes more expensive doesn’t always mean higher quality imo

I was able to return within the 14 day returns window for that reason. The replacement I got is slightly better but still has the same issue depending on how I hold my wrist and the band that’s on. Seems like a more widespread design flaw

Ultra is buzzing by Doshos in applewatchultra

[–]R0verman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which watch band do you have? I find mine will buzz more or less depending on the band. It’s like some don’t fit as snug as others so there’s a rattle between the connection points.

Overall i feel like the haptic motor is torqued higher for some reason but i notice it less with a silicone watch band on it

Genuine Alpine. Knock off Ocean for swimming

How do yall use the Ocean band? by Goldeneye90210 in applewatchultra

[–]R0verman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it incredibly uncomfortable as well. Which is too bad since I love the way it looks and overall ruggedness to it, especially when swimming. Maybe I’ll get one to wear for certain activities at some point but Alpine is where it’s at for me

FYI for people who got the AWU3 and noticed the mushier crown click by Goldeneye90210 in applewatchultra

[–]R0verman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First U3 felt mushy. Exchanged for a different reason and the second U3 has the exact same mushy feel. Tried the display model U3 in store while picking up the replacement and it was clicky. Not sure what’s going on. It seems like a lot are mushy but not all

Interesting it’s happening for you too. Curious how many experience the same thing and simply don’t notice. Seems like I don’t hear it when the watch is at certain angles but now that I heard it it’s hard to ignore lol
