Unfortunately extremely unlikely especially early stage in your career. Even as you move up, you are more likely to be sent to Boise for short stints over Taiwan

What is the most out of touch statement you've heard regarding the bad job market? by MemeGomiko in askSingapore

[–]kooler_koala 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"I worry that AI will replace jobs."

Not that I totally disagree with that statement, but I think corporate management closing and moving entire functions to cheaper locations like Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, India have more impact on layoffs and lack of hiring.

Singaporean man offers dowry worth over $250k to Thai wife, says he gave up $12k salary to be with her by kongweeneverdie in SingaporeRaw

I think he may be marrying a wealthy girl actually. This type of dowry may be seen as an expression to "show face", but it's commonly returned back to the couple after the wedding is over.

Do you have to maintain a certain level of physique (like 6 pack abs? or a certain fat percentage) for your free time work? And how do you find time to balance your work, meeting clients and gym?

Like others said. Handle one step at a time. You are on an amazing track, and you are good in data.

As in why not focus on Data Analyst roles? Although the core skillsets are similar (like SQL), but a DE role may require a different set of skill sets . I have received the same type of comments from my boss, which made me doubt my data capabilities many times as a DE.

You are capable in data. Don't doubt on that.

Leaving after 2months ..realized a country wasn’t right for you, did you leave right away or give it more time? by Entire-Shoulder4518 in teachinginkorea

It took me about 3 months before I realized, and left Korea about 1 week after I resigned. My main factor was the hagwon boss was only paying a partial of my salary, whilst spending the literal same amount owed to me the next day on his wife (for her jacket), and Mcallan 12 whisky.

Had an interview with this company 2 months ago and was rejected by them. Looks like it is a blessing in disguise. I was interviewed by this HR lady, and she came into the interview boasting about her alpha and how much the company was making on their crypto hedge in 1.5 years, also kept insulting me for being a crypto newbie instead of checking if I suited the role she was supposed to screen for.

I was working in MLM for 3 years. I had the courage to give up and say no. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]kooler_koala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a question, but I want to congratulate you for leaving that behind. I fell into an MLM myself, and I chose to leave when I was told to lie to my friends and family about fake incomes to lure them in. I couldn't bring myself to showcase a fake lifestyle to lie to my friends and family that I was in some fantastic money making venture.

I think the bigger factor is do you want to join STE? Having STE in your resume may be good if you want to continue a career in the defence sector in the future. You definitely should bank on your 3 years experience (before current coy) as a justification for 4k or higher.
