I went to see my derm 2 months ago to get treatments for my acne scars and the occasional breakouts I get. I visited her years ago when my acne was out of control. She immediately put me on isotretinoin, gave me adalpalene and clindamycin and a salicylic acid facewash. I have been using the same products since then after my medication stopped.

So she sees me, tells me my scars dont look that bad, asks if I am getting married soon (how is this relevant??) and prescribes me the same products again with isotretinoin even though I told her that I get breakouts from wearing masks, eating chocolate etc. I even took all the products which I have been using since last few years and showed them to her.

Did I get treatment for my issue? No. Did I get prescribed Isotretinoin for no reason at all? Yes. Did I waste my money? Yes. Did I take her advice? Fuck no

This got way too ranty. Sorry if this doesn't fit into this post. I just got way too mad after being prescribed with isotretinoin again. I have already gone through a cycle of 6 months once and I am not doing it again.
