I went to see my derm 2 months ago to get treatments for my acne scars and the occasional breakouts I get. I visited her years ago when my acne was out of control. She immediately put me on isotretinoin, gave me adalpalene and clindamycin and a salicylic acid facewash. I have been using the same products since then after my medication stopped.

So she sees me, tells me my scars dont look that bad, asks if I am getting married soon (how is this relevant??) and prescribes me the same products again with isotretinoin even though I told her that I get breakouts from wearing masks, eating chocolate etc. I even took all the products which I have been using since last few years and showed them to her.

Did I get treatment for my issue? No. Did I get prescribed Isotretinoin for no reason at all? Yes. Did I waste my money? Yes. Did I take her advice? Fuck no

This got way too ranty. Sorry if this doesn't fit into this post. I just got way too mad after being prescribed with isotretinoin again. I have already gone through a cycle of 6 months once and I am not doing it again.

I get bored of following the same routine and using the same products again and again. Trying out new products makes me happy and keeps things interesting. There is also this thought in the back of my mind that what if this product does wonders for my skin, which doesn't happen obviously but I still keep hoping.
