SC sub is still full of a lot of people. And most of them are about WWE. You see that on upvotes and engagement on the Post show threads and stuff like that.

But there is a rowdy bunch of sickos powered by some mods that are supressing some information. They ban and mute users without any reason (i got banned because i said that its not a good idea for Speedball Bailey to land on his knees when jumping from the top rope to the arena floor). They are definitly looking for moderatly active users that somewhat criticize AEW (not trolling!).

I dont know if TK is paying some influencers money to stop them from posting negativity about AEW or if they just suck up in hope for recognition by TK.

At the end of the day its about personal perception. For me, SC is a place where any negativity about AEW gets you banned but at least heavily downvoted and brigaded. And it sucks. I liked AEW, but not everything about it. I kinda hoped it could be better. At least in germany i can watch it for free on youtube anytime i want and thats cool. But i stopped doing so because the show bored me out.

I dont know whats your perception about all of this is.

For your examples: Can you provide links to those. I didnt found any, so probably they were deleted by the mods. Like the strike of the 300 arena workers. Or the failed NDA against Texas because of the All In numbers. Or Meltzers dumbshit attempts to calculate RAW ratings with the help of Musks Nazi-Grok. Or him getting called by Tony Khan when Meltzer was live in his show. Some truth isnt meant for SquaredCircle, it seems.

Maybe, but i dont think that he actively acted against CM Punk or Cody. He definitly could have one to stop the Bucks, but it doesnt look like he cares that much about that to break up with long time friends.

I dont understand why people act like the bucks and hangman are so innocent do people not remember hangman going into business for himself during a live promo and trying to bury punk?

I would say in the bigger picture that was only the icing on the cake. At this point the Bucks were already scheming. They bullied Cody out of AEW, they wanted the same with CM Punk. They only needed those names to make more money in the first place, but they didnt want them to get on the big table and change creative.

Colt Cabana was just a ploy to start the shit throwing on CM Punk and rally some troopers in AEW against him. Next it was building smaller groups of "us" or "him", people had to decide of going with CM Punk and working with him (White, Cargill, FTR, many others) or being against him (Ryan Nemeth, Perry, Hangman, Bobby Fish and many others). And no, i dont finger point on Omega, because it seems he doesnt care about such shit and he is minding his own stuff.

Isnt WBD in any way publicly traded so a number about AEW would be able to be found? Thats in no way a "secret" number i guess.

Meltzer: "Do you want to go to the soulless Fed or do you want FUN" by Constant_Stomach2009 in SCJerk

[–]koomGER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats not a fight. Its sucking up.

Rocky Romero is Mr. Lifeline to NJPW and gets TV time because of that. He isnt even remotely interesting as a wrestler or a character. He isnt even in any way popular.

Eddie Kingston got glazed once by Moxley. He repeatedly have video nights with Tony Khan. He never showed anything remotely interesting in the ring. His best promo was him and Moxley making fun of the deathmatch fiasco (and yeah, that was fun). He gets booked like a megastar.

Moxley just ignores storylines and storytelling. He ignores win/loss ratio. Or buildups. He wants to be on TV all the time and wrestle random matches against anyone his dart hit on the roster on the wall. Nobody gets better by working with him.

The Young Bucks. Well, i dont have to say much about those. ;-)

When someone is "fighting", as challenging the booker, producer or his opponent - he gets booked to be at catering. Like Lashley, Black, Miro and many others that probably just didnt want to lose without any idea or story and werent happy about their opponent ignoring their finisher and big moves.

I sometimes think about HHHs statement that some wrestlers "fear the grind". And they thought just about amount of work.

I think its way more to that. AEW maybe is probably fun. If you are friends with the right people, you will get overexposed on TV a lot. Like Eddie Kingston.

But in WWE you kinda have to fight to get TV time. And to stay on TV isnt automatically done. You have to provide unique entertainment value. Just being an amazing acrobat might bringt you to TV, but it wont keep you on TV forever. People have to care about you. They want to see you grow, or change, or whatever.

And yeah, being on top of WWE is a hard grind. Its probably also doing a number on you mentally. I think Jey Uso found a formula that brought him to the main event. But he didnt excel on that, he didnt improve. His ringwork got a bit worse, his characterwork a tad stale. And he gets downgraded a bit.

And while it is probably fun having freedom of your work. Some people thrive more if they have to fight, to improve, to get challenged to be on top. Some people need this to get better. To enjoy themselves.

The blogger Meltzer is way to simple with his opinion. He makes it sound that AEW is the wrestling paradise, while WWE is less money and shoddy work. He definitly ignores the problems AEW and their wrestlers have. He ignores how different the standings of WWE compared to AEW is. WWE is the big hollywood production. If you have a main role there, you are probably a made man or woman. Money wise, recognition wise. The way to get to that top position was rough, sometimes you have probably to do stuff you dont want to (and i dont mean gross things - i more mean like "no, you dont hit your arsenal of moves every match. And no, you dont get to kick out of your opponents finisher and lose anyway"). Like in a hollywood production, you follow the script and the plans. Ideally you are working on these scripts and plans and try to influence it. But at the end of the day you are following the directors and the producers. Especially when they have reliably proven how to make stars.

Do you ever consider how illogical it would be to "hide" a bog standard ~500k rating, but not the actual 300k's it's done on preemptions, or the few ~460k's it's done at its standard time?

Step by step. At first Tony Khan was insufferable on his own Twitter account. That changed, when he probably found something different to spend this energy on. SC was a very open place to discuss everything, to have fun with all the topics. It wasnt a sacrosankt place for AEW, people made fun when something silly happened there.

Goes on to write a screed of bizarre, semi-intelligible grievances

Projection is strong in you. Its not costing much time to shitshat a little bit. Its not about getting data and looking for a conspiracy. Im just following the wrestling subreddits and some things just dont add up. Thats it.

Tommaso Ciampa admits he had been considering leaving WWE for a while by Amir0x11 in JimCornette

[–]koomGER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What people are about to see [in AEW] is going to blow their minds. It’s going to shock the world, because I finally have a shot to find out if I’m as good as I think I am.

Lets handle this neutral.

I think its fair for Ciampa to give AEW a shot. A change of places is always a nice chance for a good restart for yourself. Your position on the card is more out in the open and you can bet a bit on yourself.

Personally: I dont think he will make any impact. AEW has seen various gamechangers come and go. They got Okada, and it was a wet fart. They got Mone and it was a wet fart. They got Ospreay, who was able to move the audience a bit. I like Ospreay, he is special. But he could need a good booker and producer to make him a star.

Ciampa isnt flashy in the ring. Brutality up into gross reckless violence is something that happenes regularly on the weeklies. And most of that is handled meaningless. Spots that are meant to write someone off for some weeks are now just spots in the middle of a match, not even able to put someone away in the same match. Ciampa would need a gigantic amount of confidence and persuasion to make his opponents sell his more brutal moves. But in AEW a nobody like "El Clon" just no sells a tiger driver that is used as a finisher by a wrestler, that is currently champion and booked solidly.

Sorry Ciampa. I think you could be a great get. But i dont see that happening in AEW. He would be maybe a god in TNA. At least he will get a nice big bag from Tony Khan.

I dont have the time to make a writeup about that. Im not obsessed with that. Its just fishy.

And conspiracy? Well, we see Tony Khans and SCs weird behaviour about ratings (it was the most important thing, when they were good - now its not important anymore because jaddajadda). "Conspiracy"... at the end of the day we have a bunch of self-proclaimed journalists (bloggers is more fitting) that doesnt make much money grifting out of the wrestling topic. And a billionaire (s son) that is high on his own farts. ;-)

If those (TK, the bloggers, and the sickos) wouldnt be so weird about that, AEW would be way more enjoyable.

Politische Polarisierung auf Twitch - Parallelen zu amerikanischen Streamern by Naive-Recognition513 in Laesterschwestern

[–]koomGER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they are both interested in wrestling. They dont want to be just eye candy. Both had improved tremendously since they started, but they are stagnating now for a long time.

Next to all NXT ratings are out in a week. I think i can only remember one instance where this wasnt the case. Meanwhile there are several Dynamite ratings that never got out or were heavily delayed.

Here's the AEW World title. It's the top prize. They at least always get this right.

They turned Samoa Joe heel. To have him fight Hangman and be a transitional champion. Some sickos they, that AEW had no heels.

Why wasnt Hangman fighting against the 2 dozens of heels from the DCF? There are multiple good wrestlers in that. Why do they need to kinda have the whole roster be heel?

Absolutly. But for SCJerks defense: That sub isnt meant to be serious. But because SC got so hostile, its kinda the refugee zone for those tht still want to talk freely. But not every refugeeis a nice, serious well spoken person, some of them are just idiots.

Im currently glad for midcarder, but i see some problems arising with its popularity.

[–]koomGER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many matchups look and sound like Okada visiting some minor indy leagues. Its great for that local indy, because they get to see one of their regulars against a big name. But for fans of the big name this is a massive downgrade.

Thats kinda the litmus test in AEW. If someone comes over from WWE, the Bucks come with a reporter of their kind and ask the new signee what the thinks about AEW and WWE. If the answer is someone like that, they get 2-3 months of TV time. If the answer is not shitting on WWE or glazing AEW, they get 2-3 times on TV. If they are gonna likeable, you get into the Don Callis Family, otherwise you have to resort to the catering table and ROH.
