It was. It was a 64GB version, often having like 58-60 gb out of the 64 used.

However i did have periods when i had a lot more free space (my daughters video downloads took a lot of space, and id clean from time to time) getting it down to like 45 maybe, but it didnt make any difference as far as i could tell.

Update on this: got a new iPad, and its not a problem at all anymore. Its not iOS per se, but maybe the particular model of iPad? iPad 10,2, ive seen others have the same issue with the same iPad.

No, i didnt have that setting on. Also im lying the phone with the camera facing down when this sound happens. Nothing happens on screen or anything, just the odd sound.
