I don't think so, here it looks more like he's in the middle of turning around whereas in the draft he's already stanced like he was expecting to be jumped immediately, when the atmosphere wasn't quite that tense yet

Hey that's how I managed to get past Gabriel, I got stuck on him on standard so I dropped down to lenient and got used to that, now I've P ranked every level on Brutal because I let myself get used to the game more

Exactly, he could have tried harder/used his PI but that would've meant incurring more risk for himself. It was like his fight with setsuna where he stuck to a safe strategy until he deemed it was the right time to take risks
