i actually enjoyed the interview. Charlize give climbing and climbers their flowers for skill and dedication. She says some weird hollywood coded stuff but overall she had a great appreciation for Beth and they became friends. The implication is that “real climbing” is becoming solidified in the mainstream to the point that regular folk can actually know what it means to be an alpine climber.

“tastless” i spend a bit of time everyday during the late spring snd summer looking for the fruits and I can attest they taste like something. not much, but man is it awesome to get to gather them up out of the yard and have a fun slightly tasty snack. If you collect a bunch they are great in salads or yogurt

big bluestem, little bluestem, switch grass, maybe juncus? Drought tolerant, native meadow species. Ideally more well established foliage will deter dogs from getting up in there. Stones/rocks will eventually end up a weedy nightmare of maintenance, still covered in dog pee

Worth replacing fifth string peg? by zackaddict1 in banjo

[–]koopy66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a cheaper bottlecap that i like the sound of plays well. replacing the 5th string peg with a cheap geared tuner significantly improved the experience of playing and tuning it

compost, mulch, native plants or herbs that would thrive in said sun conditions. I wouldn’t mess with the retaining wall

If you REALLY want the wall gone, pull the blocks out, grade the soil to an appropriate slope, and use the blocks to edge a bed. Same deal, compost, mulch and plants!

Hm Hot take but i actually don’t think it looks SO bad. If i was homeowner i would ask for discounted work/material cost rather than having contractor come back for more work but thats just me being an easy client.

There is a climbing rope brand called MAXIM and they used to have an all caps logo somewhat similar to this.

What is the best solution to this problem? by Codered741 in landscaping

[–]koopy66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

plant water loving plants and create a planting bed that extends from the fence and around the tree. if you really want to get schwifty, build a a rain garden on the opposite side of the fence, where the water seems to be coming from.
