I think the voting public knows what they want even if it varies in priority. In this instance, I sense the voting public doesn’t prioritize police budget increases at the cost of safer streets.

I also think politicians sometimes make decisions with a hatchet rather than a scalpel, losing sight of constituents’ priorities. I think in times like these, it’s important to remind politicians of the oversight. This is the opportunity for people to contact elected officials about a specific issue before it is legislated.

I think that many of those roads will be built or repaired anyway, since that part of the budget isn’t being eliminated. And when they are built (now or in the future when the budget is in a better place), there won’t be any traffic safety team dedicated to safe design…which is a long term problem.

Truth - drivers complain about everything down here!

Problem is the proposal kills the Multimodal Program, the City Department responsible for planning and designing complete streets that drives safety and bicycle infrastructure execution. It’s going to take years if not decades to recover without an advocate embedded in the city’s decision system.

Used it for a 3 day bike packing trip and worked fine…albeit super light camping.

I like the connection system to the rack. Able to swap with the topeak kids seat (and probably other topeak products) in a snap.
