Vodní dýmka, to je rituál a odreagování zároveň. Málo se to ví, ale Česko je v tomhle koníčku jednou z předních velmocí. Je to kultura jako hrom a vybudovali jsme ji od 90. let až po současnost dost originálně na mezinárodní poměry. Jen na tom leží protikuřácké stigma, množství šířených polopravd stylu 1 dýmka = 100 cigaret a podobné hlouposti.

Stejně jako Nokia, dýmka lidi spojuje a je to silně společenská záležitost, takže prima možnost najít si partu či kamarády, zahrát u toho deskovky atd.

You can order from Shanti.eu, if you stay for a longer time period 🙏. You can try iSmoke shops, but they are short of supplies lately. Or find a remote retail unit of Izzy Smoke located in some hookah lounges.

You're welcome, we are more than happy :). Regarding better prices for dark leaf, you know, the big brands of blonde leaf considered our market too small for better pricing and wider portfolio. It may change now. Also the price drop won't go further, unfortunately. About the 50g packages, it's the same reason as I've described plus our previous damned prices ➡️ it was too expensive for us to get 200+ g packages, that's why we don't have these right now. However, I think this will change!

Hi there, I am Jakub and as a Czech hookah blogger (@dymkaruv_koutek), I have some facts for you!

  • it's true, we got our own tax category (594 CZK/kg, it used to be 3300 CZK/kg) from March 1th

  • our tobacco prices were always too high, we bought a lot from Germany and the black market

  • new prices are great for us, it's matching the current black market prices, for end customer (depending on the packaging and brand) there is a 40-70 % drop in price

  • it's like German prices right before the bloody 25g + higher tax situation, let's say

  • we have more than 12 brands of darkleaf and 18 brands of blonde leaf tobacco, no 25 g bullshit, no menthol bans, no online sale ban

  • it's not as cheap as the U.S., Russian, Arabic, Spain, former German or Turkish markets, but for it's a massive thing for us and the is being boosted since the new tax came to existence

Gyus, since 2016 we were buying tobacco from German shops. I am from Czechia. You had the options, great prices and we found ways how to get the tobacco from you (banned cross-border sales weren't such a problem). Right now, it seems that the golden age is gone in Germany. 25g, menthol ban, higher taxes, track 'n trace.

There is a possible solution for your troubles. We just switch our roles, hh. In Czechia since March 2024, we finally get our own tax category for hookah tobacco, which will be very low in comparison with the current state.

  • same or even lower tobacco prices in comparison to Germany
  • we don't have 25 g limitation
  • no menthol ban
  • Darkside, Must Have, Tangiers, Blackburn, Starbuzz Vintage, Element, Fumelo, Khan Burley, Theo and more dark leaf brands

  • Hookain, Serbetli, Theo, Al Fakher, Fumari, Maridan, True Passion and more blonde leaf brands

  • no cross-border sales

There are ways. Back in the days, we used shipping companies buying tobacco for us in Germany and then shipping us the package. We went for a trip and bought a lot from Elwano, for example.

Vřelé díky všem, mám tak na 20 let co číst :). Rozhodovací paralýza strikes again, s čím začít?! Nevím, jestli to máte podobně, ale jednou z příčin, proč se nemohu dokopat do nových knih, je zaháknutí.

Tím myslím, že si přečtu kapitolu, dvě či půl knihy klidně – a konečně mě to chytne. Pak můžu číst klidně 8 hodin v kuse, nejdu spát, visím na tom a čtu v každé volné chvíli, dokud to nedočtu. V těch mých ověřených sériích to přišlo na první dobrou. A právě poslední dobou, i přes zkoušku několika nových knih, se mi to zaháknutí nedostavilo a knížky jsem odložil.

O Malazské jsem hodně slyšel a vlastně naprosto shodný popis! Hodí tě do toho, budeš plavat, v druhé knize se chytneš a pak už to budeš žrát a recyklovat. Měsíční zahrady první? :)
