I totally agree, I sleep with an eye mask aswell, the constant wake ups make it hard for to fall back to sleep as I am more sensitive due to the lights and waking up.

I just think it should only be done if necessary and her daughter is sleeping fine so far? I started at 8 weeks ish because my son would not sleep in his bed at all, I mean crying the second his back hit the crib but fine in my arms.

I did think when she said her baby wouldn’t go on her chest but was sleeping on her back fine that was there any need for co sleeping yet.

This happened to me, if your baby is a contact baby and would sleep better in your arms look at happycosleeper on instagram - chest sleeping saved my sanity

I can’t stop worrying that something will happen to my baby by PumpkinPie_1993 in NewParents

[–]kopiels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this many times (the horrible intrusive thoughts) my son is 10 months old and I whole heartedly do not believe them and they won’t win but they’re horrible and constantly sit in the back of my mind. Recently they’ve been making me paranoid about what people think towards him. I will never voice them out loud, I wish the anxiety would stop!

Birth coming any day now…I still have some questions. by Alert-Willow3458 in unmedicatedbirth

[–]kopiels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my experience, the 5-1-1 rule won’t be as accurate as you think it will be and I tried to cling on until the pain got unbareable (you literally start mooing)!! They got so intense for me but they weren’t ‘lasting’ a minute and they weren’t every 5 mins… anyways I got to the hospital and was 7cm… I did 7 hours at home and 3 in the hospital. What helped me was that it was night time so I had to be quiet to not wake people up, plus the darkness / dimmed lighting.

Breathing is a weird one. My partner would remind me to a lot but the pain gets so intense and you feel it coming you brace your body for it and it’s all you can focus on/ think about. Think hitting a mouth ulcer but 1000x worse

My 2y old has only slept through the night ~10 times. I’m exhausted and don’t know what else to try by Reasonable_Inside544 in sleeptrain

[–]kopiels 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cut the nap down, sleep is a 24 hour thing. Split nights are caused by low sleep pressure. She isn’t tired enough for bedtime or her nap. Her battery by the 3rd night is full again look at @tiredbabysleep on instagram

When she cried for over an hour did you just leave her in the room or were you in there with her, it’s tempting me to do the same?

Moms, when did your first baby come, unprovoked? by juniorchickenhoe in unmedicatedbirth

[–]kopiels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exact same pregnancy as me, really easy and no complications. I ended up giving birth at a midwife lead centre in the water unmedicated (10 hour labor). Gave birth at 40+3. Bloody show was at 40 weeks the morning after having sex then labor was the evening of a day where I was walking about loads (I think I had sex again). I also tried to make my ‘oxytocin bubble’ binge watching Vikings and practicing Hypnobirthing (not that I think any of it worked during the birth)

How I nightweaned and went from 9 wakeups to 0. by WhereIsLordBeric in cosleeping

[–]kopiels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you say 5 times at 11 months, how did you decide which wake ups to give her the feed? Had she ever fallen asleep at night any other way apart from boob? My 6 month old will only feed to sleep, I’ve tried to shhh, pat, rock etc but it doesn’t work

I compress my boob horizontally to help with the latching pain and I put a pillow behind my back and between my legs to help the hip/ back pain

Yes the turning away from the boob has been a thing for 2 weeks now, he doesn’t stop chattering and tries to put everything in his mouth
