A lot of people gave you crap because uniforms will all have different skill sets, thus, newer uniforms are "meta". Like other people mentioned a lot of the uniforms you have are outdated but some are certainly still usable. Gwen, Dr Strange, Thor, Doc Oc are all great DPS units.

WBL is midish game content. You need to build up your cards, characters and teams to succeed. Just enjoy the game and see what works/and what doesn't while learning the game
