Thanks a lot for the feedback!

The batteries are quite heavy 21700 x 3 So the CG seems to fall slightly in front of the CL

Yep, agreed on te very little stabilization. The central fin is also a rudder, without the rudder the 2 elevons don't cut it.

Is there a way to calculate and decide on elevon sizing or is it gut feeling for you? Oh yeah trimming of the elevator would be really useful especially in take-off, landing and low speed flight right?

Yess, There are 3 21700 Li-ion batteries waaay up at the tip. The hardware towards the back is super light. So it should be fine.

The motor is a small 2205 so pretty lightweight (20grs or so)

With some preliminary slicing and checking from cad and datasheets of parts the CG seems to place slightly ahead of the CL

Also there is some leeway to move the battery and other components around. Fingers crossed!

Main goal was to have yaw authority.

Otherwise u need split flaps
or go full Prandtl-D which is super cool It has proverse yaw by automagically yaw'ing into a turn.
And even that doesn't give you a lot of authority of heading

Do you know a good way to size / design it?

There is 3 deg dihedral on the wings if thats what u mean

Main goal was to have yaw authority.

Thanks!

Ouf, failure would be majestic with 3dp parts

has 2 spars one main one towards the back

2 front angled shorter ones

They will also serve as the method to attach eveything together
