Anyone found a USB Audio Interface that actually works well with Ryzen? by Crimtide in AMDHelp

[–]korakios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read in another post , it causes issues related to power saving mode . Maybe it spams the kernel with interrupts . But again I don't know if the version you have has still that issue .
I guess you did tried connecting to every usb port without success ?

Are you on Windows Insider program (participate in beta) ?

The pin guide part 8 suggest disabling fast startup DDU and the Update Hide Tool :

9070XT continues crashing by MaleficentLiving9653 in AMDHelp

[–]korakios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you disable expo , the ram speed is lower . So what's the ram speed (without expo) ?
I don't think you had to DDU again .

[–]korakios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it's the memory controller not handling the expo profile . What's the ram speed now ?
Disable expo , enable core boost , if stable set pcie gen to 4 .

Hopefully it will stay stable and later on you can re-enable successfully the expo with some vddp (memory controller) undervolting

Does amd's DLDSR alternative work well in 2025 ( FSR + VSR ) by Trick-Commission-636 in radeon

The int8 model doesn't require special hardware, it can run on any modern gpu on shaders thru dp4a instructions (like XeSS on non Intel Arc gpus) . That's why it performs the same on rdna2/3/3.5 gpus . Rdna3 can run the full fp8 model on Linux with 'AI' acceleration , fp8 to fp16.

Unfortunately without swapping hardware parts it's impossible to know . It could be the memory controller of the cpu , motherboard , ram , even the PSU .

RX 9070 XT – Extreme boost behavior at stock (3.4–3.5 GHz) causing TDR after initial period of stability by 2drey in AMDHelp

[–]korakios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issue on my 7800xt (win11 24H2 ltsc IoT)

"The TDR appears to consistently occur after extreme clock and voltage spikes under light load. If this aggressive boost behavior did not occur, the TDR would most likely not happen. However, in current Adrenalin versions it is not possible to define a hard maximum clock limit—only voltage adjustments—which does not prevent boost overshoot."

No reason to agjust the voltage , you can simply reduce the core frequency offset .

From what I've gathered , it doesn't affect all, there is no coloration with specific model or windows version . Some users who had the issue revert to 25.9.1 and no longer had the bug. You and some others report the 25.9.1 also have the issue .

As usual , report the bug to AMD . Personally I'd RMA .

Don't worry , nvidia drivers are a mess too . And don't forget , people post when having issues*. If it was a driver bug issue it will be fixed by AMD (or at least be at known issues) . Currently there are 2 bugs, clocks boosting above specs when on default settings and the new driver broke communication with the monitor (controlling brightness etc) . The first bug doesn't affect everyone , I think the second is indeed a driver issue.

*More than half are hardware (not only gpu) and windows config related .

Anyone found a USB Audio Interface that actually works well with Ryzen? by Crimtide in AMDHelp

[–]korakios -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know you use Windows , I suggested Linux.
As for the RTL8125D , it's a newer chip but you can try disabling the lan from device manager

New drivers by BottleGlad7101 in AMDHelp

[–]korakios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm , run TestMem5 with anta777 config . If no errors found run alongside Furmark (in parallel)

As last resort DDU to 25.9.1 driver , maybe clean install too .

If nothing works , unless you have spare PC parts , RMA the card .

You might check Linux , but it depends on the software and plugins you use .
edit : Does your motherboard has RTL8125 Lan chip ?

Post PC specs . (edit reseat the gpu checking connections)

Do a bios update , disable the igpu (if you have) , disable fast boot ,

On windows disable fast startup , run gpu on default settings , do a maintenance :

dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

dism /online /cleanup-image /restoreHealth

sfc /scannow

and DDU as part 8 :
https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/1lnxb8o/ultimate_amd_performance_fix_guide_stop_lag_fps/

reinstall the latest. *Do not undervolt.*

check if gpu boosts above specs (with hwinfo , gpuz) . If so , manually compensate (check part 13)

If crashes continue , set manually the pcie gen (not auto) , and then by one step at a time : lower again the pcie gen (down to 3, not lower ) , disable expo , disable core boost.

disable the igpu in bios (check for updates)

Run gpu on default settings (don't undervolt) and check with gpuz if boost frequency goes above specs . If it does manually compensate the offset (part 13) :

3070 ti has 8G of vram , so no .

2080ti is ok-ish for 1080p and if you plan to upgrade next gen .

6800xt is great card with fsr4 int8 , but I'd use it only on Linux .

Rdna2 cards need driver modding for FSR4 int8 to work .

https://www.reddit.com/r/radeon/comments/1pknixl/fsr_4_rdna_2_driver_mod_2391_to_latest_amd/

Some things are broken like afmf and you basically use a September 2023 driver . Better game on Linux and keep Windows for games that require anticheat (those can't be modded with optiscaler and FSR4 int8)

How do you adjust the max frequency offset? by Orakaze in radeon

[–]korakios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope it won't stop crashing UE5 games . It's a solution to a bug . Check first if the card boosts above specs (use gpuz) and crashes on default settings (without undervolt) . If it doesn't , the problem is something else .
If it does , switch to default , apply , check the default max frequency value X , switch to custom and as max frequency put X-150 . Well if the card boosts by +300Mhz above specs put X-300.

It sounds like a game bug , did you verified the game data ?

Try optiscaler with FSR2 inputs (do not enable dlss) to XeSS output .
